Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar: Your Complete Guide

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar has spent 15 years quietly becoming one of Disneyland Resort’s most beloved spots. Tucked inside the grounds of the Disneyland Hotel, this tiki lounge is not your average hotel bar. It is an immersive, story-rich, effects-packed adventure that rewards curious guests and keeps them coming back again and again. Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned regular hunting for a collectible mug, this guide covers everything you need to know before, during, and after your visit.

If you are trying to snag a seat at this hard-to-book spot, set up a reservation alert at Mousedining.com and get notified the moment a table opens up.

What Is Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar?

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar opened on May 25, 2011, at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California. It is a full-service lounge and restaurant inspired by the Jungle Cruise attraction in Disneyland park. The bar is built around a deep lore involving the iconic head salesman, Trader Sam, and a cast of fictional explorers. Their adventures line the walls in the form of photos, trinkets, and curios from around the world.

The bar is not called “Enchanted” by accident. Ordering certain drinks triggers theatrical effects inside the indoor space, including lighting changes, sound cues, animatronics, and plenty of surprises. Cast members channel the quick wit of Jungle Cruise skippers, keeping the energy playful and the puns flowing in equal measure.

The lounge sits inside the Disneyland Hotel, near the pool area and Tangaroa Terrace. You do not need a theme park ticket to visit. It is open to anyone, whether you are a hotel guest or just dropping in for a drink.

The Story Behind the Bar

The world of Trader Sam’s is rooted in Disney’s Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.) lore. This fictional organization ties together several Disney parks attractions and experiences worldwide.

As the story goes, a group of explorers traveled up the Nile River in 1938 aboard the Mekong Maiden. The crew included Dr. Leonard Moss, a botanist; Dr. Kon Chunosuke, an entomologist; Rosa Soto Dominguez, an accomplished artist; and Siobhan “Puffin” Murphy, the second cousin of Jungle Navigation Company leader Alberta Falls. During the journey, their expedition field notebook fell into the hands of Trader Sam after a run-in with hippos and a rhinoceros. Captivated by what he found, Sam used the notebook’s hand-drawn sketches and notes as inspiration for the drinks and decor of his new establishment.

Today the physical menus at Trader Sam’s look like that worn field notebook, right down to the aged brown cover. It is the kind of detail that makes this bar feel less like a restaurant and more like a discovery.

Here is a fun bonus for Disneyland history fans: the name Rosa Soto Dominguez is a nod to the Dominguez family, who owned some of the land that eventually became the Disneyland Resort. Their family palm tree still stands near the Jungle Cruise boathouse in Adventureland.

What to Expect When You Walk In

The interior of Trader Sam’s follows a mid-century modern tiki style that fits naturally with the Disneyland Hotel’s overall aesthetic. Step inside and you will find bamboo-lined walls, dim lighting, shelves of artifacts, framed photos from Trader Sam’s travels, and Easter eggs hidden in nearly every corner.

Look closely and you might spot several hidden gems. These include the original ship-in-a-bottle from the Adventurers Club at Walt Disney World, a whaling harpoon from the 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, 1950s photographs of the Jungle Cruise, a life ring from the Magdalena Maiden (one of the retired Jungle Cruise boats), and a nod to Indiana Jones alongside the savings jug from Carl and Ellie’s Paradise Falls fund in “Up.”

Seating is available both indoors and outdoors. The indoor experience is where the full theatrical magic happens. When you order certain drinks, the room responds, so plan to stay a while and soak it in. The outdoor patio offers the same full menu with a more relaxed atmosphere and often a shorter wait.

Keep in mind that the experience is limited to 90 minutes per party, so it helps to arrive knowing what you want to try.

The 15th Anniversary Refurbishment and What Is New

Trader Sam’s is turning 15 this week, and the milestone came with a significant upgrade. Starting March 2, 2026, the indoor space went through a full refurbishment. During that time, new gas tiki torches went in, the show effects got an update, and the interior lighting systems were replaced. The entire venue, including the outdoor patio and neighboring Tangaroa Terrace, then closed temporarily from May 14 – May 20, 2026, with both locations reopening on May 20 ahead of the anniversary.

The refreshed interior is now open, the 15th anniversary celebration is underway, and a new limited-time menu and collectible mug are available to mark the occasion.

Collectible Mugs: A 15-Year Tradition

One of the most beloved traditions at Trader Sam’s is its ongoing lineup of collectible tiki mugs. Each mug complements a specific drink on the menu and carries a level of detail and artistry that has made them a serious collector’s item within the Disney community.

The tradition of elaborate tiki drinkware traces back to establishments like Don the Beachcomber, a legendary Polynesian-themed bar and restaurant that opened in Hollywood in 1933. Don the Beachcomber introduced drinks like the Navy Grog, Three Dots and a Dash, and the Zombie. It also set the standard for ornate, themed mugs that eventually influenced bars across Southern California.

At Trader Sam’s, the mug collection has grown to more than 20 unique designs since 2011. Past highlights include the original Krakatoa mug, a Jungle Cruise-inspired Congo Queen mug from 2021, an elusive Jack Skellington Halloween mug from 2015, and a dual-sided Evil Queen/Witch mug from 2025. The newest addition is the 15th Anniversary Hyena Mug, served with the Barrel of Mischief cocktail. It is now available at the location, with a mobile order release coming May 29.

Currently available mugs at the time of this article include the Zombie Mug, the Piranha Pool Mug, and the Krakatoa Punch Mug. The full current lineup is displayed at the bar inside the lounge. Mugs rotate seasonally, so there is always a reason to check back.

  • Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance. If you have a specific date in mind, especially around a holiday or anniversary event, book as early as possible.

Disneyland Park Hopper Time Restriction Removed: What It Means for Your Dining Reservations

Disneyland Park Hopper Time Restriction Removed: What It Means for Your Dining Reservations

Big news for Disneyland Resort guests: the 11 a.m. Park Hopper time restriction is gone starting June 9, 2026. That means if you have a Park Hopper ticket or a Magic Key pass, you can move freely between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at any point during the day, right from the moment the parks open. No more watching the clock. No more being locked into one park until late morning.

It sounds simple, but the ripple effect on how you plan your day, especially your dining reservations, is bigger than you might expect. Here is what you need to know.

What Changed with Disneyland Park Hopping?

Since Disneyland Resort reopened following the closure in 2021, guests with Park Hopper tickets and Magic Key passes were required to wait until 11 a.m. before crossing the esplanade into the second park. That rule lasted about six years and shaped everything about how guests structured their days.

On May 19, 2026, Disneyland Resort officially announced the change: beginning June 9, 2026, that time restriction is eliminated. You can now park hop at any time, subject to park availability.

A few things that are staying the same:

  • You still need to make a park reservation and select a first park when booking.
  • Starting June 9, 2026, you will no longer need to tap into your designated first park before hopping to the other.
  • A reservation for the second park is not currently required, but Disney notes that reservation policies are subject to change.
  • Park access is always subject to capacity, operational hours, and closures.

It is also worth noting that Walt Disney World removed its own Park Hopper time restriction back in January 2024, so Disneyland is now catching up with its Florida counterpart.

Why This Matters for Dining Reservations

Before this change, your dining reservation strategy was largely dictated by the 11 a.m. rule. If you had a morning character dining reservation like Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn, you had to start your day in Disneyland Park and could not swing over to Disney California Adventure Park until late morning. This could be tricky depending on how early you booked your trip and whether or not Disneyland park reservations were available.

Now, your dining reservation is the anchor for your entire park-hopping day, not the clock. That is a meaningful shift. You have real flexibility to build your itinerary around where you want to eat and when, then fill in attractions, entertainment, and Lightning Lane selections around those meals.

The catch? Dining reservations at the most popular spots across both parks are genuinely competitive. You cannot just assume a reservation will be there when you want it. That is where planning ahead, and having the right tools, makes all the difference. MouseDining.com monitors reservation availability across Disneyland Resort and alerts you the moment a spot opens up, so you are not stuck refreshing the app on your own.

How to Plan Your Park Hopper Day Around Dining

The new freedom to hop at any time means you can genuinely build a two-park day that maximizes both rides and restaurants. Here is how to think about it.

Decide which park you want to start in based on dining, not just rides

Your first park is now a strategic dining choice as much as anything else. If you want to catch Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn, you are starting your day in Disneyland Park. If your priority is a Carthay Circle reservation in Disney California Adventure Park, you may want to designate that as your first park when making your reservation.

Think through your full day: where are your reservation anchors, and which park makes the most sense as a home base for your first few hours?

Book your hardest-to-get reservation first

The most in-demand table-service restaurants at Disneyland Resort open reservations up to 60 days in advance at around 6 a.m. PT. At the top of that competitive list are Blue Bayou at Disneyland Park, Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lamplight Lounge at Disney California Adventure Park, and character dining experiences like Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park, since it’s the only character dining actually located inside a park at Disneyland.

When your booking window opens, go after your hardest reservation first. Once you lock that in, build the rest of your day around it. If you miss your window or cannot find availability, MouseDining.com will notify you when a cancellation opens up so you can grab it quickly.

Spread your meals across both parks intentionally

One of the most exciting possibilities with unrestricted Disneyland park hopping is treating both parks as a single dining destination. You might have a counter-service breakfast in one park at rope drop, hop over mid-morning for a table-service lunch, then return to your first park for a late afternoon snack or dinner reservation.

Check out the MouseDining guides to dining at Disneyland Park and dining at Disney California Adventure Park to get a full picture of what each park has to offer before you build your plan.

Keep the Disneyland app open throughout your day

Park Hopper access to the second park is always subject to availability. Disney will notify you via the Disneyland app with a push notification if park hopping becomes unavailable on a given day. Make sure notifications are turned on. You do not want to find out at the esplanade that the second park is at capacity, especially if you have a dining reservation waiting on the other side.

Must-Know Disneyland Resort Table-Service Restaurants for Park Hoppers

With full day access to both parks, the full menu of Disneyland Resort table-service dining is on the table. Here are the restaurants that belong on your radar when you are planning a two-park day.

Blue Bayou Restaurant (Disneyland)

Blue Bayou is consistently one of the most sought-after dining reservations at Disneyland Resort. Located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in New Orleans Square, it serves Southern-inspired Cajun-Creole cuisine for lunch and dinner in an atmosphere unlike anything else at the resort. It has been a Disneyland staple since 1967. Reservations open at the 60-day mark and go fast, so set an alert on MouseDining.com if you miss your window. Note: Blue Bayou had a temporary closure and modified dining experience in early 2026 due to a Pirates of the Caribbean refurbishment. Check the Disneyland app or Disneyland.com for the most current status before your visit.

Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park (Disneyland)

Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn is one of the best reasons to start your day in Disneyland Park. This character dining experience brings multiple Disney characters to your table while you enjoy a breakfast buffet that includes made-to-order omelets, Mickey waffles, biscuits and gravy, and more. It is a great value for families and character fans, and now that the Park Hopper restriction is lifted, you can enjoy breakfast here and still have your full morning across both parks without waiting until 11 a.m. to cross over. Reserve through the Disneyland app up to 60 days in advance.

Carthay Circle Restaurant (DCA)

Carthay Circle is DCA’s signature dining experience, housed inside the park’s icon building on Buena Vista Street. The restaurant is inspired by the original Carthay Circle Theatre from the 1920s, where Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered in 1937. It is the place to go in DCA for a more upscale, special-occasion meal. Like Blue Bayou, it books up fast. Carthay Circle Lounge offers a more casual alternative with smaller bites and drinks if a full dinner reservation is out of reach.

Lamplight Lounge (DCA)

Lamplight Lounge sits on the waterfront of Paradise Bay in the Pixar Pier area and offers a gastropub-style menu, signature cocktails, and views over the water. It is consistently ranked among the best overall dining experiences at Disneyland Resort. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, including outdoor couches with views across the bay. There is also a Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining location adjacent to the main restaurant with its own alfresco patio menu. Reservations fill up quickly, so use MouseDining.com to set an alert if you cannot lock one in at the 60-day mark.

Cafe Orleans (Disneyland)

Located in New Orleans Square, Cafe Orleans is a beloved Disneyland institution and a more accessible option than Blue Bayou when it comes to getting a reservation. It offers French-inspired Creole cuisine and is known for its Monte Cristo sandwich, a deep-fried sweet-and-savory icon that is a must-try for first-timers and regulars alike.

Wine Country Trattoria (DCA)

For a more relaxed California Adventure meal, Wine Country Trattoria in the Golden State area offers Italian specialties in an outdoor setting that feels like a Tuscan villa. It is a solid option for lunch or an early dinner, with generally better reservation availability than the headliner spots.

Tips for Booking Disneyland Dining Reservations as a Park Hopper

  • Reservations open up to 60 days in advance at approximately 6 a.m. PT. Set a calendar reminder and be ready to book as early as possible on your window date.
  • Guests staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel can access preferred dining reservations at select hotel restaurants, like Napa Rose and Goofy’s Kitchen. If you are staying on property, link your hotel reservation number to your Disneyland.com account to unlock this benefit.
  • Most Disneyland dining locations allow cancellations up to two hours before your reservation without a penalty, which means last-minute openings do pop up. MouseDining.com watches for those cancellations and notifies you in real time.
  • If you cannot get a reservation, many restaurants offer a walk-up list through the Disneyland app on the day of your visit. Show up early in the day and add your name to the list before crowds peak.
  • Having a dining reservation at a restaurant in a specific park does not guarantee your ability to park hop to that park. Your reservation is not a park entry pass. Always confirm park availability through the app before assuming you can walk in.
  • Plan your reservation times with realistic travel between parks in mind. The two parks are right across the esplanade from each other, so the actual walk is short. But factor in time to exit one park, cross over, and locate your restaurant.

When does the 11 a.m. Park Hopper restriction go away?

The Disneyland park hopping restriction is eliminated starting June 9, 2026. Beginning that date, guests with Park Hopper tickets or Magic Key passes can move between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at any time, subject to park availability.

Do I still need a park reservation to park hop?

Yes. You still need to make a park reservation and select a starting park when booking. However, starting June 9, 2026, you will no longer need to physically tap into your designated first park before hopping. A reservation for the second park is not currently required, but Disney notes that this policy is subject to change.

Does my dining reservation count as park admission?

No. A dining reservation does not guarantee park entry. You still need both a valid park ticket and a park reservation to enter. If the second park reaches capacity, you may not be able to hop even with a dining reservation waiting for you there. This scenario is rare, but can happen at high capacity times like New Year’s or events.

How far in advance can I book Disneyland dining reservations?

Up to 60 days in advance for most table-service restaurants. Reservations typically open at approximately 6 a.m. PT on your booking date. Guests staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel may have preferred access to select hotel restaurant reservations.

What if I cannot get the reservation I want?

Set an alert on MouseDining.com. The service monitors availability and notifies you when a reservation opens up for your restaurant, date, and party size. Given how competitive spots like Blue Bayou, Carthay Circle, and Lamplight Lounge are, having an alert running in the background is one of the smartest things you can do for your trip planning.

Can I make Lightning Lane reservations in both parks as a Park Hopper?

Starting June 9, 2026, you can begin making Lightning Lane selections for your second park right after entering your first park. With the time restriction removed, you have full flexibility to use Lightning Lane across both parks throughout the day.

Will Park Hopper availability be guaranteed?

No. Park access is always subject to capacity. If a park reaches its capacity limit, park hopping may be temporarily unavailable. Disney will notify guests via a push notification through the Disneyland app. Make sure your app notifications are turned on before your visit.

The Bottom Line

The removal of the 11 a.m. Disneyland Park Hopping restriction is genuinely good news for Disneyland guests, and it changes the calculus for how you plan your dining reservations. You now have the freedom to build a two-park day entirely around where and when you want to eat, without the time restriction forcing your hand.

The key is to plan ahead. The most popular restaurants at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park fill up fast, and having a set-it-and-forget-it tool working for you makes a real difference. Head to MouseDining.com to set reservation alerts for your must-eat restaurants and take the guesswork out of scoring the dining experiences you want.

Oogie Boogie Bash Guide 2026

Oogie Boogie Bash 2026: Dates, Tickets, Dining, and Everything You Need to Know

Oogie Boogie Bash is back for 2026, and it is shaping up to be the biggest Halloween party in Disneyland Resort history. Whether you are a first-timer trying to figure out what this event actually is or a returning guest who needs the latest ticket and dining details, this guide covers everything you need to plan your night.

What Is Oogie Boogie Bash?

Oogie Boogie Bash is a separately ticketed, after-hours Halloween party held at Disney California Adventure. It is not included with regular park admission, and you cannot buy tickets at the gate on the day of the event. The party runs from 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM, but ticket holders can enter Disney California Adventure as early as 3:00 PM, giving you a solid head start on the evening before the official party begins.

The event features immersive Trick-or-Treat Trails where you encounter Disney Villains as you collect candy throughout the park, Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail (an atmospheric walkthrough experience filled with lights, shadows, and villain-themed scenes), rare character meet-and-greets that are exclusive to the event and unavailable on regular park days, shorter attraction wait times due to limited capacity, and costume-wearing for guests of all ages. Normally, guests 14 and older cannot wear costumes in Disneyland parks, but Oogie Boogie Bash is a notable exception.

Your ticket also includes unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from party night, so every photo taken throughout the evening is yours to keep at no additional charge.

2026 Oogie Boogie Bash Dates

This year’s event runs on a record 33 nights, up from 31 in 2025 and 27 in 2024. Parties take place on select Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from August 18 – October 31, 2026.

Here is the full confirmed date list:

August: 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 30

September: 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29

October: 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, 31

Which Dates Sell Out Fastest?

Based on past years, the dates closest to Halloween (especially October 25, 27, 29, and 31), all Sunday dates, and the opening night on August 18 tend to go first. If any of those are on your radar, you need to purchase as soon as tickets go on sale. Tuesday and Thursday dates in August and early September historically sell more slowly and are your best bet if you miss the initial rush.

As of this writing, a general public on-sale date has not been officially confirmed. Based on last year, when the general public sale opened on June 26, 2025, one or two days after the final Magic Key presale, a general public date around June 18 – 19, 2026 is possible. We will update this article as soon as that date is announced. Keep an eye on MouseDining.com for the latest updates.

Tickets are only sold online at Disneyland.com and are not available for purchase on the day of the event. The limit is 8 tickets per guest, per event date, and no discounts apply. Tickets for guests age 2 and under are not required.

How Much Do Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets Cost?

Disneyland has not yet released official 2026 pricing. In 2025, tickets ranged from approximately $129 – $189 per person depending on the date, with August dates on the lower end and October dates on the higher end. Expect similar or slightly increased pricing when 2026 tickets go on sale.

Tips for Buying Tickets on Sale Day

  • Be online at Disneyland.com a few minutes before the sale opens. The site uses a virtual waiting room and assigns randomized queue positions when the sale begins, so being early does not guarantee a better spot, but it does ensure you are in the queue.
  • Use more than one device if possible.
  • Have your Disneyland account logged in and your payment information ready before the queue opens.
  • October dates close to Halloween and all Sunday dates are the most competitive. If your dates are flexible, a weekday in August or early September is significantly easier to obtain.
  • Do NOT purchase tickets from a third party. Resellers may not be legitimate, and even if they are, these tickets are not allowed to be resold. Disney may cancel the tickets if they find out about the transaction.

What Happens During the Party

Trick-or-Treat Trails

The immersive Treat Trails are the heart of Oogie Boogie Bash. Throughout Disney California Adventure, you will find trail entrance markers (also shown in the app as a black cauldron symbol) where Cast Members hand out candy. The trails are themed to Disney Villains, and some trails feature characters who speak to guests as they pass through. Candy provided through the trails is courtesy of Mars Wrigley, and allergy-friendly options are available. Look for the dedicated allergy-friendly trail stations in the app or on the Bash Guide Map.

Villains Grove

Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is consistently one of the most talked-about experiences at the event. The trail transforms into an immersive, atmospheric walkthrough where Disney Villains come to life through projection effects, lighting, sound, and themed scenes. It is not a scare maze and is genuinely suitable for guests of all ages, though the mood is intentionally dramatic and spooky.

Character Meet-and-Greets

The exclusive character lineup is one of the biggest draws for repeat Oogie Boogie Bash attendees. Past events have included fan favorites like Minnie Mouse, Daisy, and Clarabelle Cow dressed as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus, King Mickey, Goofy, and Donald Duck in Kingdom Hearts outfits, Megara with Pain and Panic from Hercules, and other rare appearances not available during regular park days. Disney typically announces the 2026 character lineup closer to the event. We will update this article when that information is confirmed.

Entertainment

For 2026, the Frightfully Fun Parade is a question mark. The backstage parade route at Disney California Adventure is reportedly impacted by ongoing construction related to the upcoming Coco attraction. Disneyland has removed all entertainment details from the official Oogie Boogie Bash page without noting that they will return later, which is unusual. Disney has not made an official announcement about whether the parade will run in its current form, be modified, or be replaced by alternative entertainment. An announcement is expected before tickets go on sale. We are monitoring this closely and will update this page as soon as Disneyland confirms what entertainment guests can expect in 2026.

The Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour is confirmed to return for 2026. This guided experience includes party admission and typically has availability even after standard tickets sell out, making it a useful option if you miss the general sale.

Attractions

Most Disney California Adventure attractions operate during the party, and limited capacity means noticeably shorter wait times compared to regular park days. During Halloween Time, select attractions get seasonal overlays, including Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark, Mater’s Junkyard JamBOOree, and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

Dining at Oogie Boogie Bash

Dining is one of the best ways to enhance your party night, and this is where planning ahead really pays off. Most counter-service locations throughout Disney California Adventure are open during the event. However, most table-service restaurants stop seating new guests once the official party begins at 6:00 PM, which is why booking a dining reservation for the mix-in period, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, is such a smart move.

The event also features party-exclusive food and beverage items that are only available on party nights. Menus for 2026 have not been released yet, but past years have included themed cocktails, limited-time snacks, and exclusive seasonal treats available at various locations throughout the park.

Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party

In past years, Disneyland has offered the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party at Sonoma Terrace as an add-on experience with reserved parade viewing, Halloween-themed desserts and beverages, and a collectible enamel pin. The 2026 version of this package has not been officially announced yet. We expect to get details about the dessert party once the entertainment information is announced. When details are released, MouseDining.com can help you snag a reservation. Set up a free alert at MouseDining.com so you are notified the moment bookings open.

Wine Country Trattoria Parade Dining

In prior years, Wine Country Trattoria has offered a parade dining package that includes a three-course meal and reserved parade viewing as an add-on on party nights. Reservations for this type of experience can book up quickly. MouseDining.com is the best tool for finding last-minute or hard-to-get dining reservations at Disneyland. Create a free account, set up your alert for Wine Country Trattoria or any other Disney California Adventure restaurant on your preferred Oogie Boogie Bash night, and you will be notified immediately if a spot opens up.

Dining Tips for Party Night

  • Make dining reservations well in advance, especially for party nights in October. Use MouseDining.com to set up alerts if your preferred time or restaurant is not available when you first look.
  • Arrive at 3:00 PM when the park opens for ticket holders. This gives you time to grab dinner before the party starts and check off experiences before the crowds build.
  • Mobile order for counter service to save time during the busy early party hours.
  • Keep in mind that parking is not included with your Oogie Boogie Bash ticket.

Tips for Making the Most of Oogie Boogie Bash

  • Arrive at 3:00 PM. The mix-in period is three full hours before the official party begins, and arriving early lets you eat, explore, and get to high-demand experiences before the event is in full swing.
  • Download the Disneyland app before you arrive. Party entertainment schedules, character appearance times, and treat trail locations are all accessible in the app. Bring a portable charger because a dead phone during the party is a real problem.
  • Check the character meet-and-greet wait times early. The Sanderson Sisters meet-and-greet typically generates the longest lines of the night. If that is a priority for your group, head there as soon as the party begins at 6:00 PM.
  • Costumes are encouraged but must follow Disneyland’s guidelines. Check the official Disneyland website for the full costume policy before the event, as specific restrictions apply.
  • Review the allergy-friendly treat trail options in the app if anyone in your group has dietary restrictions. Disneyland provides dedicated options on the trails.
  • Villains Grove can have a significant wait during peak hours. Aim for early in the evening or toward the end of the night.
  • The event is family-friendly but runs late. If you are attending with young children, consider the earlier August dates when the heat is less of a factor and the crowds tend to be lighter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a separate park ticket to attend Oogie Boogie Bash?

Yes. Your Oogie Boogie Bash event ticket is the only ticket you need for the evening. It covers Disney California Adventure entry starting at 3:00 PM and the full party through 11:00 PM. You do not need to purchase a separate daytime park ticket on top of it unless you want to visit Disneyland Park earlier in the day, in which case a Park Hopper would be required.

Can I buy Oogie Boogie Bash tickets at the gate?

No. Tickets are only available online at Disneyland.com and must be purchased in advance. They are not sold at the park on party nights.

Are discounts available for Oogie Boogie Bash tickets?

No discounts apply to Oogie Boogie Bash tickets. There are no Magic Key, military, or group discount pricing options. The limit is 8 tickets per guest per event date.

Is Oogie Boogie Bash appropriate for young children?

Yes, it is designed to be family-friendly. The Villains Grove is atmospheric and immersive but not a horror experience. The general vibe of the event is festive and fun rather than frightening. That said, the party runs until 11:00 PM, so plan accordingly for younger kids.

What happens if my preferred Oogie Boogie Bash date sells out?

If you cannot get standard tickets, the Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour typically has availability after regular tickets are gone. It includes party admission and a guided experience. Additionally, if you are looking for dining reservations on party nights, MouseDining.com can alert you when last-minute cancellations open up.

When will 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash food menus be released?

Disneyland typically announces party-exclusive food and beverage menus a few weeks before the event begins. We will update this article when the 2026 menus are confirmed. Check back at MouseDining.com for the latest dining news.

Will the Frightfully Fun Parade happen at Oogie Boogie Bash 2026?

Disneyland has not yet confirmed the 2026 entertainment lineup. The status of the Frightfully Fun Parade is uncertain due to construction at Disney California Adventure. An official announcement is expected before tickets go on sale. We will update this article as soon as that information is available.

Oogie Boogie Bash is one of the most popular events at the Disneyland Resort for good reason. Between the exclusive characters, the immersive Trick-or-Treat Trails, Villains Grove, the shorter wait times, and the rare chance to wear a costume alongside thousands of other dressed-up Disney fans, party night feels genuinely different from a regular day at the park. With 33 dates in 2026, more guests than ever will have a shot at tickets, but the most desirable dates will still go fast. Have your Disneyland account ready, set your calendar for the Magic Key presale on June 16 or the general public sale, and lock in your dining plans through MouseDining.com so nothing gets in the way of a great night.

Everything Happening at Walt Disney World on May 26, 2026

May 26, 2026 is one of the biggest single days Walt Disney World has seen in years. It marks the official launch of Cool Kids’ Summer, the debut of several new and reimagined attractions, a brand-new character experience, a refreshed ride film, and a wave of themed food and drinks across all four parks. If you have a trip planned for this date, or you are trying to decide whether to visit, here is everything confirmed for May 26 at Walt Disney World.

Why May 26, 2026 Is a Big Deal

Disney has stacked an unusually large number of openings on a single day. Cool Kids’ Summer runs May 26 – September 8, 2026, and May 26 is the official kickoff. That means new experiences, themed entertainment, and resort perks all go live at once. The day also falls right after Memorial Day weekend, which brings higher crowds than the rest of May. If you can visit in the days or weeks that follow, you will get to experience everything new with gradually fewer crowds.

New Attractions and Experiences Opening May 26

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closed in March 2026 for a full re-theme and reopens May 26 as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. The new version drops guests into G-Force Records, where The Electric Mayhem is running late for their own concert. The ride features a new soundtrack with Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem alongside celebrity guests. Annual Passholder previews run May 21 – 23 via virtual queue in the My Disney Experience app, with DVC Member Priority Access on May 24. Soft openings before May 26 are possible, so check the app if you are in the parks that week.

FØØD by Swedish Chef

Opening alongside Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, FØØD by Swedish Chef is a new Muppets-themed snack kiosk in the ride’s courtyard. No reservation is needed. For the full menu and tips on visiting, see our complete FØØD by Swedish Chef guide.

Walt Disney Studios Courtyard

The outdoor area formerly known as Animation Courtyard reopens May 26 as the Walt Disney Studios Courtyard. It is home to The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure (opened summer 2025), the new Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, and later this summer, The Magic of Disney Animation.

Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!

This brand-new stage show opens May 26 in the Walt Disney Studios Courtyard. Inspired by the Disney Jr. series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+, it follows Mickey and Minnie as they set out to find Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto. The show runs approximately 20 minutes and continues beyond the Cool Kids’ Summer season.

Jumping Junction, a new outdoor habitat with kangaroos and wallabies, replaces the former Affection Section petting area. Bluey’s Wild World uses a virtual queue at opening, with joining windows at 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM. The 10:00 AM window requires you to already be inside Animal Kingdom. The experience is confirmed to stay well beyond summer.

Several Bluey-themed food and drink items also debut May 26 at locations around the park. For the full snack lineup and where to find each item, check out our Animal Kingdom dining guide.

Disney Springs on May 26

Cool Kids’ Summer activities at Disney Springs also launch around May 26, including the DescenDANCE Party x Camp Rock Jam at the AdventHealth Waterside Stage on select Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, Polynesian-inspired entertainment at the Marketplace Splash Pad, and Mickey and Minnie Cookie Art with edible watercolor paints at Amorette’s Patisserie. Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life is offering a complimentary child ticket (ages 2 – 12) with the purchase of an adult ticket for performances May 27 – September 20, 2026.

Resort Perks Starting May 26

Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels May 26 – September 8, 2026 receive free admission to one Walt Disney World water park on their check-in day, valid at either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. Ticket and Dining Options

The 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket is available for visits May 26 – October 3, 2026. It covers one day at each of the four theme parks, does not include Park Hopper, and must be used within 7 days of first use.

Annual Passholders visiting on or around May 26 can take advantage of V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days dining discounts of up to 40% at select table-service restaurants Monday through Thursday through July 31, 2026. See our Passholder dining discounts guide for the full restaurant list.

DVC members can look ahead to Welcome Home Weeks running July 22 – August 26, 2026. Full details are in our DVC Welcome Home Weeks guide.

With opening-day crowds across multiple parks, table-service dining reservations will be harder to secure than a typical late-May weekday. Set alerts at Mousedining.com to get notified the moment a reservation opens or a cancellation appears.

Crowd Expectations

May 26 is a Tuesday, but it is the single biggest opening day Disney has planned for 2026. Expect high crowds at every new or updated attraction, particularly Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and Bluey’s Wild World, both of which are expected to use virtual queues on opening day. If you have flexibility, visiting Wednesday or Thursday of that same week may offer a better experience with gradually declining crowds.

Tips for May 26

  • Download the My Disney Experience app before you arrive; you will need it for virtual queues at both Bluey’s Wild World and potentially Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
  • Join the Bluey virtual queue at 7:00 AM for the best chance at securing a spot; you do not need to be inside Animal Kingdom yet for the first window
  • EPCOT Flower and Garden Outdoor Kitchen booths open at 11:30 AM on Tuesdays; plan your World Showcase time accordingly
  • Outdoor Kitchen booths are cashless; bring a card or load a Disney Gift Card wristlet in advance
  • If Hollywood Studios is your priority, arrive before park opening and head straight to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
  • Resort hotel guests receive a free water park ticket on check-in day; if May 26 is your arrival date, plan accordingly
  • Set dining alerts at Mousedining.com now for any table-service meals you want on or around this date

Whether you are a die-hard Star Wars fan or just love themed park food, there is something on this menu worth planning your visit around.

Here is everything you need to know about the new offerings, where to find them, and when they arrive.

What Is the New Mandalorian and Grogu Disney Parks Food Event?

Disney Parks frequently launch themed food and merchandise events tied to major film releases, and the Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu movie is no exception. The film has inspired an extensive new menu across multiple locations at both coasts. New dishes, specialty drinks, collectible sippers, tumblers, and snack buckets all make the lineup. Most items run while supplies last, and Disney limits some novelties to two per person per transaction, so planning ahead is a smart move.

Tips for Making the Most of Welcome Home Weeks

Book Your Dining Reservations Now

The restaurant list has been confirmed and availability at the most popular spots will move fast. Tiffins, Hollywood and Vine, and Tusker House in particular tend to fill quickly during discount periods. Have your party size, preferred dates, and meal periods ready to go and book as soon as possible. Head to MouseDining to set your alerts now so you are notified the moment a table opens at your preferred restaurant and date.

Plan Your Disney Springs Days Strategically

The Disney Springs perks rotate across all five weekdays, with a different venue each day. If you want to take advantage of more than one offer, you will need to visit on multiple days of the week. A stay of five or more days gives you the best shot at hitting every location.

Bring Your ID and Have Your Membership Card Ready

The discount will not be applied automatically. You need to present your Digital Membership Card from the My Disney Experience app alongside a government-issued photo ID. Add the card to your phone’s digital wallet before your trip so it is easy to pull up at the restaurant or event check-in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an Annual Pass for Welcome Home Weeks? No. Welcome Home Weeks is open to any eligible DVC member with Membership Extras. You do not need a Walt Disney World Annual Pass to participate. If you do have an Annual Pass, the separate V.I.Passholder Summer Days program running May 1 through July 31 may also be worth your attention. You can read about that program here: V.I.Passholder Summer Days 2026 Dining Discounts.

Can the discount be used for my whole family? The dining discount covers the member plus up to three dining companions, for a maximum of four people. Parties larger than four will not receive the discount for the full group. Note that the Character Closeup and Welcome Home Wakeup events cover the member plus up to four guests, or the number of guests on the reservation.

Can I use the discount more than once? Yes. There is no stated limit on how many times you can use the dining discount during the event period, as long as you meet all requirements at each visit and dine on a qualifying Monday through Thursday date.

Is this the same as V.I.Passholder Summer Days? They are two separate programs. V.I.Passholder Summer Days runs May 1 through July 31 and requires an Annual Pass. Welcome Home Weeks runs July 22 through August 26 and requires DVC membership. The restaurant lists and discount structures are different. Full details on the Passholder program are here: V.I.Passholder Summer Days 2026 Dining Discounts.

New Dining Options at Disney’s Animal Kingdom You Have to Try Right Now

New Dining Options at Disney’s Animal Kingdom You Have to Try Right Now

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has quietly become one of the best places to eat at Walt Disney World, and 2026 has brought some of the most exciting dining updates the park has seen in years. Whether you are planning your first visit or your 50th, here is what is new, what is worth your time, and what you need to book before someone else does.

The Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich at Terra Treats

This tasty treat has been around since February, but if you have not tried it yet, you are running out of excuses. Terra Treats reopened earlier this year with a completely new dessert-focused menu, and the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich has been the breakout star ever since. Disney World’s own ambassador channel spotlighted the chefs behind it this week, which brought a fresh wave of attention, but the lines have been real since day one.

Here is what you need to know before you go:

  • A brownie layered with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate chips and edible cookie dough, priced at $8.29
  • Pastry Chef Kellie has described assembling it for the first time as immediately knowing she struck gold. Chef Joe calls it tens across the board.
  • Located at Terra Treats, across from Creature Comforts on the path into Africa
  • Opens at 10:30 a.m. and has been selling out on busy days, with lines capped when demand gets too high
  • Counts as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan, making it one of the better uses of a credit in the park

If you have been sleeping on this one, now is the time. It has been a legitimate crowd-drawer for three months and shows no signs of slowing down.

Harambe Market Is Open and Worth a Stop

Harambe Market reopened earlier this year with a refreshed menu, stepping up to fill the gap left by the permanent closure of Restaurantosaurus as part of the ongoing DinoLand transformation. If you have not visited since the refresh, it is worth adding to your park day. The updated menu includes both crowd-pleasing staples and some genuinely solid options:

  • Angus Bacon Cheeseburger
  • Chicken Strips
  • Harissa Chicken Wrap, highlighted by Disney Parks Blog this week as one of the best adventurous bites in the park
  • Savannah Salad
  • Kubwa Cookie for dessert

Harambe Market is open daily for lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Africa section of the park. You can mobile order, or just show up and place your order at the window.

Snacks Worth Building Your Day Around

Disney Parks Blog published their own Animal Kingdom food guide this week, and a handful of items on their list are exactly the kind of under-the-radar stops that first-timers miss and repeat visitors swear by. These are not new additions, but they are worth knowing about:

  • Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries: a classic Animal Kingdom snack that deserves far more attention than it gets
  • Satu’li Canteen’s Cheeseburger Steamed Pods: one of the best quick bites in Pandora
  • Pongu Pongu’s Na’vi-sized Pretzel with Beer Cheese Sauce: enormous, shareable, and genuinely good
  • Harambe Fruit Market’s Grilled Corn on the Cob: simple and consistently excellent
  • The Smiling Crocodile’s Pulled Pork Cheese Arepa: one of the most underrated savory bites in the park
  • Rafiki Wildberry and DOLE Whip Orange Float: refreshing and adorable

On the drinks side, the Lamu Libation at Nomad Lounge, the Himalayan Ghost at Thirsty River Bar, and the Nightwraith Blaze at Pongu Pongu are all worth tracking down if you enjoy a craft cocktail with your park day.

Tiffins and Nomad Lounge Are Celebrating 10 Years

Tiffins Restaurant and Nomad Lounge are celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2026, and Disney Parks Blog specifically highlighted the pair this week as essential Animal Kingdom dining. The experience is a culinary journey inspired by global travel, and it remains unlike anything else on Walt Disney World property. If Tiffins has been on your list and you have been waiting for the right time, this is it.

What Changed on the Tiffins Menu in 2026

Tiffins is still the best sit-down restaurant inside any Walt Disney World theme park, but the spring 2026 menu refresh removed several fan favorites and introduced a new lineup worth knowing before you arrive. If you have a reservation coming up, check the current menu carefully.

What is new:

  • Grilled Beef Tenderloin with a Peruvian-inspired preparation featuring Saltado marble potatoes, pearl onions, pickled mushrooms, tomatoes, chorizo vinaigrette, and Huancaina sauce, with an option to add seared scallops
  • Korean Barbecue Pork Belly Bao Buns with pickled cucumber and green papaya slaw
  • Butter Chicken now served with a samosa instead of the previous chickpea-rice croquette
  • African Pot de Creme with Ethiopian coffee and Ras el Hanout pineapple
  • Caramel Flan with cardamom caramel

What was removed:

  • Surf and Turf
  • Pan-roasted Fish
  • Andean Beef Short Rib
  • The third curry from the Regional Curry Tasting

The space, the service, and the Imagineering artwork on the walls remain absolutely worth the visit. Tiffins requires an advance dining reservation and tables fill up fast. Use MouseDining to set up an alert and grab a reservation the moment one becomes available.

Annual Passholder Dining Discount: Valid Through July 31

If you hold a Walt Disney World Annual Pass, you can save 40% off dinner at Tiffins and 40% off lunch and dinner at Tusker House through July 31, 2026 as part of V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days. This is one of the most aggressive dining discounts Disney has offered in recent memory, and it makes two of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s best restaurants genuinely accessible for a weekday visit.

Key details to know before you go:

  • Valid Monday through Thursday only, no weekends
  • Applies to food and non-alcoholic beverages only
  • Discount excludes tax and gratuity
  • Valid for the passholder plus up to three guests
  • Present your valid Annual Pass ID and a photo ID at the host stand

Both Tiffins and Tusker House require advance dining reservations. Head to MouseDining now to set an alert and lock in your table before availability disappears.

Bluey’s Wild World Treats Are Coming May 26

Bluey and Bingo are taking over Conservation Station on May 26, and the food rollout tied to the opening is shaping up to be a real highlight. Disney has already confirmed the first treat arriving with the experience:

  • Fairy Bread Cake at Pizzafari: a vanilla birthday cake dipped in white chocolate and covered in rainbow sprinkles, served with a raspberry dipping sauce. It is based on fairy bread, the classic Australian kids’ party snack, and Disney’s version looks like the real thing, only elevated.
  • More Australian-inspired treats are expected to be announced before the May 26 opening, so check back as the date approaches.

If you are visiting with little ones in late May or June, budget some extra snack money. You and your kids will want to try it all.

DVC Members: Your Discount is Coming

Disney Vacation Club members have their own dining discount window through DVC Welcome Home Weeks, running July 22 – August 26, 2026. This is a completely separate promotion from V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days and includes 40% off dining at select restaurants, including Tiffins and Tusker House. If you are a DVC member planning a late July or August visit, the savings are significant and well worth planning your trip around. Use MouseDining to monitor availability and get your reservations locked in early.

The Bottom Line

Animal Kingdom is in the middle of one of its most exciting dining eras in years. A viral dessert that has been drawing lines since February, an Australian-themed food rollout tied to one of the most anticipated new experiences at Walt Disney World, a refreshed Harambe Market filling a real gap in the park, a completely overhauled menu at the best table-service restaurant in any Disney theme park, and some of the deepest dining discounts Disney has offered in years all add up to one clear conclusion: there has never been a better time to make Animal Kingdom a priority on your next trip. Get your reservations locked in at MouseDining, get to the parks, and eat well.

General, News By May 5, 2026 Tags: , , , No Comments

If you are wondering what’s new at Walt Disney World this summer, the answer is: a lot. From May 26 – September 8, 2026, Disney’s Cool Kids Summer celebration brings reimagined rides, brand-new shows, and beloved character experiences to all four parks. Whether your family loves Toy Story, Bluey, Star Wars, or the Muppets, there is something wonderful waiting for you.

Here is everything you need to know, park by park.

Magic Kingdom: Two Fan Favorites Return Better Than Ever

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is back. The attraction reopened on May 3, 2026, after a full reimagining that includes a brand-new track, refreshed trains, and stunning new on-ride scenes.

The highlight is the new Rainbow Caverns. Early in the ride, guests plunge underground into a glowing cavern. Phosphorescent pools illuminate shimmering stalactites and stalagmites, and over 2,000 bats fill the scene above. A deep rumble builds the suspense before the real adventure begins.

Riders will also find refreshed Audio-Animatronics, restored effects, new gold props, and a breathtaking final lift that pays off the legend of Barnabas T. Bullion. The town of Tumbleweed has been lovingly updated too. The new track makes for a noticeably smoother ride from start to finish.

The best news for families: the height requirement has been lowered from 40 inches to 38 inches. Little ones who have been waiting to ride can finally join the adventure this summer.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin reopened on April 8, 2026, with meaningful upgrades across the board. This is a true reimagining of a ride that had been largely unchanged since 1998.

The biggest change: the blasters are now fully handheld. They feature an always-on laser sight, haptic feedback when you hit a target, and color-coded LED lighting so each rider can track their own shots. The ride vehicles are all new as well.

Before the mission begins, guests meet Buddy, a new support robot created by Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar. Buddy walks Space Rangers through blaster calibration and a quick training round. It is a fun touch that helps younger guests feel ready to take on Emperor Zurg.

The space battle scene near the end has been completely reworked. For the first time, Buzz Lightyear himself appears in the sequence. Your ride photo now shows your score, rank, mission location, and full stats. Veteran Space Rangers will find the new target system, which shifts point values in real time, adds a fresh challenge to every ride.

EPCOT: A Brand-New Film and a Beloved Experience Returns

Soarin Across America

EPCOT’s beloved Soarin attraction has an all-new film. Soarin Across America opens May 26, replacing Soarin Around the World. The new film celebrates America’s 250th birthday with a sweeping flight over dozens of stunning American landscapes. The classic Soarin score has been reimagined for the journey, and Patrick Warburton returns. This overlay is limited time, so this summer is the moment to fly.

GoofyCore at CommuniCore Hall

GoofyCore returns to CommuniCore Hall for its second Cool Kids Summer. Led by Goofy and DJ Dance Pants, the indoor space features group games, dancing, and plenty of laughs. The comfortable seating and air conditioning make it a wonderful way to play together during warm Florida afternoons. Kids tend to talk about this one long after the trip ends.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios: The Most New Experiences of Any Park This Summer

Bluey’s Wild World

Bluey and Bingo have made their Walt Disney World debut. Opening May 26, Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station is one of the most anticipated new experiences of the season. After riding the Wildlife Express Train, families arrive at Conservation Station to play games from the show, dance with Bluey and Bingo, and discover animals native to Australia. Disneyland Kids Summer Ticket for $50/Day: Everything Families Need to Know for 2026

General, News By May 4, 2026 Tags: , , No Comments

If you have been looking for a reason to finally take the kids to Disneyland, this might be the most compelling one we have ever seen. Disneyland Resort has brought back its beloved Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer for 2026, and at just $50 per child per day, it is one of the best deals in the park’s recent history.

Tickets are already on sale. Here is everything you need to know before you get your Disneyland tickets.

What Is the Disneyland Kids’ Summer Ticket 2026?

For a limited time, children ages 3 to 9 can visit both Disneyland Resort theme parks, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, for as low as $50 per child per day. The 1-Day ticket includes Park Hopper access, meaning kids get both parks for that price. Multi-day options are also available.

To put that in perspective: standard children’s tickets to Disneyland can run well over $150 per day depending on the date. This offer represents savings of up to $100 or more per child, per day.

Ticket Options and Pricing

  • 1-Day Park Hopper: $50 per child
  • 2-Day Park Hopper: $100 per child ($50 per day)
  • 3-Day Park Hopper: $150 per child ($50 per day)

All options include Park Hopper access to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Lightning Lane Multi Pass can be added for an additional fee.

Who Qualifies?

This offer is valid for children ages 3 through 9 only. Children under age 3 do not need a ticket and enter free. Guests ages 10 and older will need to purchase a standard adult ticket separately.

You may purchase up to 10 Kids’ Summer Tickets per day.

Valid Dates

The Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer is valid for visits beginning May 22, 2026 through September 7, 2026. Multi-day tickets expire 13 days after the first day of use or on September 7, 2026, whichever comes first. Tickets may be used on non-consecutive days.

You Will Need Park Reservations

This is one of the most important things to understand before purchasing. At Disneyland Resort, all guests must have both a valid ticket and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same date in order to enter. This is different from Walt Disney World, where standard date-based tickets no longer require a separate park reservation.

There is an additional possible wrinkle specific to this offer: park reservations for Kids’ Summer Ticket holders are allocated separately from general ticket reservations, and that allocation is limited. On any given date, reservations may still be available for standard ticket holders even after the Kids’ Summer Ticket reservation pool is fully booked. Kids’ Summer Ticket holders are not entitled to reservations made available to other guests.

Our strong advice: check reservation availability for your preferred dates before purchasing, and make your reservations as soon as possible after buying your tickets. Popular dates, especially around Fourth of July and the first weeks of summer, will go fast. If you can’t find a reservation, don’t give up hope. People change and cancel theme park reservations all of the time, so if you’re refreshing, you have a good chance finding what you need.

Important Restrictions

  • Valid for children ages 3 to 9 only.
  • Park reservations are required and subject to limited availability for this ticket type.
  • Tickets are non-refundable and may not be transferred for commercial use.
  • Cannot be combined with other ticket discounts or promotions.
  • Excludes separately priced activities and events.
  • Subject to change or cancellation without notice.

Who Is This Deal Best For?

Families with Young Kids Ages 3 to 9

If  your kids are age 9 and younger, you are in the sweet spot for this deal. If you have preschoolers or early elementary-age kids, your per-child ticket cost just dropped dramatically. And remember, kids ages two and younger go free! The savings at this age range are substantial this summer, especially over multiple days.

First-Time Disneyland Families

Disneyland is a bucket-list destination, and the ticket price can be a significant barrier. This offer removes a lot of that friction for families with young children. If you have been putting off the trip, now is the time.

Out-of-State Families Planning a Summer Visit

The deal runs through the entire summer break window, making it very accessible for families who need to plan around school schedules. Whether you are local to Southern California or flying in from across the country, the timing works.

Grandparents Taking the Grandkids

Multi-generational Disneyland trips are some of the most magical, and this offer makes it far more financially feasible to bring young grandchildren along without the adult ticket costs eating up the entire budget.

Families Who Want Both Parks

If you like to Park Hop, you’ll love that Park Hopping is included in these tickets. That is especially valuable given how much there is to see across both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, including Avengers Campus, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Radiator Springs Racers, and the returning World of Color nighttime spectacular.

What Is New at Disneyland This Summer?

Summer 2026 is a particularly exciting time to visit. Disneyland is celebrating its 70th Anniversary, and the parks are packed with special experiences. Bluey and Bingo are appearing with live stage entertainment. New experiences are on the way, including new Mando and Grogu missions on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run starting May 22 and Soarin’ Across America launching at Disney California Adventure on July 2. The Paint the Night parade and nighttime fireworks are running throughout the summer as well.

Can You Save on Hotels Too?

Yes. Disneyland Resort is offering up to 25% off select stays of four nights or more at Disneyland Resort Hotels for visits from May 22 through September 7, 2026, the same window as the kids’ ticket deal. Pairing both offers together can significantly reduce the total cost of an on-site family vacation.

Ready to Make This Summer Magical?

The Disneyland Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer is a genuinely exceptional deal, but it comes with possible constraints around park reservations. The most popular dates will fill quickly, so planning ahead is essential.

Your Disney travel agent can help you check reservation availability, pair your kids’ tickets with the best hotel offer, and handle all the details so you can focus on the fun.
