Love a sweet, pillowy beignet? You’re in the right place because right now there are so many different beignets at Disney World to try. Here are seven kinds of beignets across three locations so that you can plan your own beignet excursion on your next trip.
1. A Bounty of Beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter
The first leg of our beignet adventure started on a trip on the water, courtesy of the complimentary Sassagoula River Cruise leaving port at Disney Springs.
That’s right, at Disney World, you can get beignets with a side of bayou-adjacent sightseeing. Start at Disney Springs (if driving, park at the Lime Garage for the closest location) and head to the Marketplace dock to board your complimentary boat to Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort.
After catching waterfront views of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and the adorable Treehouse Villas on the way, head to Scat Cat’s Club – Cafe, where guests can enjoy classic Mickey-shaped beignets, frosted beignets for kids, even beignets just for adults.
Classic Mickey-Shaped Beignets
These iconic beignets are available in packs of three or six, and priced at $7.79 and $11.29 respectively at the time of publication. If you want to find yourself by a romantic atrium fountain snacking on a Mickey-shaped treat, these are your beignets. So picturesque. Especially the powdered sugar all over your hands and face.
Light, airy, and covered in alllll the powdered sugar (and then some) these beignets also come with one of three dipping sauces: strawberry, chocolate, or caramel.
Bonus: Guests can also get one of these classic beignets with their choice of ice cream and sauce for $9.29.
Specialty Beignets
A different look than your traditional powdered beignets, the Mickey-shaped Specialty Beignets are a larger and festively colorful confection available for $4.29 each at Scat Cat’s Club – Café.
Baton-Rouge Beignets (21+)
These next beignets were the most unique our group had ever seen. The Baton-Rouge Beignets ($12.49 at time of publication) come with an interactive pipette element for the filling which ensured the fluffy beignet dough remained fresh until the last bite.
When ready, you can squeeze the pipette and fill your beignet with your choice of Baileys Irish Cream, Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur, or RumChata Cream Liqueur.
2. Gluten-Friendly Beignets at Scat Cat’s Club – Café
Worth their own place on our list: the famously gluten-friendly beignets available at Scat Cat’s Club – Café. If you have a gluten sensitivity, or love someone who does, chances are you already know that Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter has long been home to these beignets of a more traditional pillow shape, hold the gluten (and for the same prices as the standard batches).
A bit thicker consistency than their Mickey-shaped counterparts, the gluten-friendly option offers a crisped outer layer and soft, chewy dough that makes these oh-so-fun to pull apart.
3. A Stuffed Beignet in the France Pavilion
Did you know that beignet translates loosely to “fritter” in English?
Beignets were brought to New Orleans in the 1800s by the French Acadians, so next, our group toured World Showcase all the way to the France pavilion at EPCOT to experience a beignet from the homeland.
At Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, there are so many beautiful treats on display, it can be hard to decide on just one – but here at Disney Parks Blog we make tough decisions for our readers and ordered the Beignet with chocolate and hazelnut filling ($5.95 at time of publication).
This round beignet may appear to be a humble treat next to the Créme Brûlée and Parfait aux Fruits – but the delicious beauty is on the inside.
4. Tiana’s Famous Beignets at Magic Kingdom Park
Head to Magic Kingdom Park to taste these sweet additions to the Golden Oak Outpost menu, available for $6.99 until they dance away on Aug. 8.
One of the best parts of this stop is that we could watch cast members sprinkle the powdered sugar all over a fresh batch of beignets, then drizzle them with a golden stream of honey.
The most delicious time of the year is almost here – DOLE Whip Day! July 18 marks the fourth annual celebration, which is honored on the third Thursday of July, and runs through July 21. And what better way to join in the festivities than with a Foodie Guide?
My fellow foodies and sweet tooths alike will be more than excited once they see the list I’ve put together for you this year. The classic Disney treat can be found worldwide, and even aboard the high seas. But there’s so much more DOLE Whip than the iconic pineapple delight (which is iconic for a reason). I’ve gathered all the DOLE Whips at Disney Parks and aboard Disney Cruise Line, including the beloved bites at Aloha Isle at Magic Kingdom Park, which is a DOLE Whip lover’s dream, and a savory, sweet indulgence with the Chile-Mango Whip from Disneyland Resort. In 1984, Dole Packaged Foods created DOLE Pineapple Whip for the Walt Disney Company, which was first served at Aloha Isle at Magic Kingdom Park.
Today, Aloha Isle serves a delicious Pineapple Upside-down Cake. To celebrate DOLE Whip Day, we’re sharing a recipe inspired by the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake at Aloha Isle and we’re topping it with Frozen Pineapple Treat Inspired by DOLE Whip.
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake was popularized by DOLE after the company sponsored a contest for pineapple recipes after James Dole, founder of the Hawaiian Pineapple Company, hired Henry G. Ginaca to develop a machine that would peel and core pineapples automatically.
Once the pineapples were peeled and cored, they were sliced into rings so they could easily fit into a can. This led to an increase in canned pineapples and a need for pineapple recipes.
This Pineapple Upside-Down Cake features pineapple slices on top of each individual cake. The pineapple juice from the can is added to the cake batter and adds delicious pineapple flavor to the cake.
After all this talk about pineapples, I’m getting hungry. Let’s get to the recipe!
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Topped with Frozen Pineapple Treat Inspired by DOLE Whip
Disney Parks and Resorts
Serves 6
Ingredients
Topping Ingredients
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple slices in 100% pineapple juice (DOLE recommended), 6 tablespoons of pineapple juice from can (reserve for use in cake)
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
6 maraschino cherries
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Ingredients
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
3 tablespoons butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 tablespoons reserved pineapple juice
2 tablespoons milk
Frozen Pineapple Treat Ingredients
1/2 to 3/4 cup pineapple juice, divided (DOLE recommended)
2 cups frozen pineapple chunks (DOLE recommended)
1 cup dairy-free vanilla ice cream
Instructions:
For Topping
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Lightly grease 8 ounce ramekins with butter and place on baking sheet. Set aside.
Drain pineapple rings, reserving 6 tablespoons juice for pineapple upside-down cake.
Combine melted butter, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and ground ginger in small bowl and stir until smooth. Spread 1 1/2 tablespoons of brown sugar mixture in the bottom of each ramekin. Place pineapple ring in each ramekin and add a maraschino cherry to the center of each pineapple ring. Set aside.
For Pineapple Upside-Down Cake:
Whisk flour, salt, and baking powder together in a medium bowl and set aside.
Cream butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat for 1 minute on medium speed until smooth.
Add reserved pineapple juice and half of reserved flour mixture and beat on low speed until smooth. Add milk and remaining flour mixture and continue mixing for 1 minute until batter is smooth.
Spread 1/3 cup batter on top of pineapple in each ramekin.
Bake for 20-22 minutes, until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.
Remove cake from oven and cool for 3 minutes. Run a knife or offset spatula around the edge of each cake. Carefully turn ramekins onto wire rack and gently lift. Cool.
For Frozen Pineapple Treat:
Place 1/2 cup pineapple juice, frozen pineapple, and dairy-free vanilla ice cream in blender and blend until smooth – do not over blend.
If the mixture is too thick, add 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice at a time.
Scoop onto Pineapple Upside-Down Cake and serve immediately.
Always use caution when handling sharp objects and hot contents.
Please supervise children who are helping or nearby.

If you want to add a taste of New Orleans to your own cooking at home, we’ve got you covered with Mama Odie’s Hot Sauce and Dooky Chase’s Seasonings available in Gumbo Base, Seafood Seasoning, Meat Seasoning, and Fried Chicken Seasoning flavors. What makes these seasonings so unique is this is the first time they will be available outside of Dooky Chase’s Restaurant in New Orleans. This restaurant was owned and operated by the legendary Leah Chase – whose story was one of the inspirations for the character of Princess Tiana! These items will be available at the Emporium starting June 28 and Critter Co-Op once it opens.
For any coffee lovers out there, there’s also a new Joffrey’s blend you can bring home with you! Disney Tiana Bayou Beignet is a medium-roasted flavored coffee with flavor notes of honey and powdered sugar for a sweet sip. You can pick up your own bag at Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Co. at The Landing at Disney Springs or at Joffrey’s website.
Wow! So much exciting foodie news coming for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. June 28 can’t come soon enough.
Can you believe that Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Lion King” first graced our screens 30 years ago? To celebrate this momentous occasion, the culinary teams at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park have put together some adorably delicious bites and sips for you to enjoy starting June 10 and running through Sept. 9, 2024. As you go on your own adventures throughout the park, you can have a foodie one too!
Any fans of “The Lion King” will be embracing the spirit of hakuna matata as they indulge in limited-time delights that are far from grub. These new items feature some of your favorite characters from the beloved Disney Animation film, like Simba, Timon, Rafiki, and Zazu, all brought to life with tasty flavors.
Can you feel the flavor tonight? Well, your appetite sure can! Let’s get into what’s cooking over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for the 30th Anniversary of “The Lion King”!
When exploring Discovery Island, there are multiple spots serving up can’t-miss “The Lion King” items. For a quick sip, Eight Spoon Café will be featuring The Simba. This refreshing mango-flavored slushy is combined with grenadine and topped with two gummy candies for some (sweet) grub. Over at Isle of Java, the culinary team has put together a truly unique dessert paying homage to none other than Timon’s iconic hula from the film. Timon’s Luau is a layered dessert with vanilla chiffon, passion fruit curd, guava jam, vanilla chantilly cream, an edible tropical flower for the lei, and mint for the hula skirt.
Before expanding your journey outside of Discovery Island, Tiffins Restaurant hasa sweet sip to indulge in. Rafiki’s Squash Banana is a shake blended with squash bananas, baobab fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, and cardamom. Yum! Also, the “Remember Who You Are” The Lion King 30th Anniversary Dessert is a truly beautiful offering. The Kenyan coffee mousse is filled with caramelized bananas, chai chantilly, banana-caramel sauce, chocolate-coffee crumble, chocolate decoration, and sugar sun. It is not to be missed on your next outing to Tiffins Restaurant.
As you venture over to Africa, you’ll come across several of these new treats. Tamu Tamu Refreshments will be home to the Zazu Ice Cream Sandwich. This refreshing bite sandwiches vanilla ice cream between two blue cake-coated sugar cookies with a chocolate medallion on top. Harambe Market also will have a sweet delight for you to try. The You Follow Old Rafiki Cheesecake is the perfect dish to give you “no worries.” This passion fruit-mango cheesecake has a coconut-lime crust, vanilla bean chantilly, and a chocolate medallion to finish it off. How adorable!
As we continue our foodie adventure throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom for this momentous anniversary, we’re heading to DinoLand U.S.A. Here, there are multiple items worthy of a (lion) king. First, we’re dropping into Restaurantosaurus where there are two items on the way. The Shenzi Strawberry Lemonade is quite the refreshing sip and is inspired by one of the iconic members of the hyena trio in the film. It combines Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, Minute Maid Strawberry Smoothie, and blue curaçao syrup served with a souvenir glow cube.
Next up, if you love red velvet and villains, you’re in for a treat. The Rightful Ruler Cupcake, which is available both here and at Pizzafari, draws inspiration from Scar himself, so be prepared to be met with flavor. It’s a red velvet cake with cookies ‘n cream cheesecake filling and chocolate icing topped with a chocolate medallion on chocolate rocks.
Trilo-bites will be serving up a special item that also is available through September 9, and it features DOLE Whip! The Zazu DOLE Whip Lime and Coconut Float deliciously swirls DOLE Whip Lime into Sprite with coconut and blue curaçao syrup. It’s then topped with a white chocolate medallion. What could be better than “The Lion King” and DOLE Whip?
Last but certainly not least, at various outdoor food carts throughout the park, you’ll be able to get your paws, I mean hands, on the Simba Paw Cookie! This sugar cookie is too cute to pass up.
Are you excited for all of these “The Lion King”-inspired items coming soon? I know I am. What a delicious way to celebrate 30 years of this iconic film.

Global Marketplaces
Of course, it wouldn’t be the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival without the FOOD! Foodie fans can look forward to so many mouthwatering returning favorites.
Once again you can indulge in Belgian Waffles with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream or Warm Chocolate Ganache at the Belgium Global Marketplace.
In Germany, say “guten tag” to Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce, while just over the mountain, The Alps will feature Dark Chocolate Fondue with Berries, Pound Cake, and Meringues.
Looking for tropical flavors that will whisk you away to paradise? Passionfruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts will breeze back in the Hawai’i Marketplace!
Say Roquefort! (Or Gruyere or Gouda if you prefer.) That’s right – Emile’s Fromage Montage also returns in 2024. This fun food stroll encourages guests to sample a variety of delicious cheeses served in inventive ways. Purchase any five cheese dishes from the official Global Marketplaces list in your Festival Passport and make sure to collect a stamp for each dish purchased. Once you’ve collected all five stamps, bring the passport to the specified location for a specialty unique item to enjoy!
That’s just an amuse bouche to excite you for all the delectable flavors that are to come. Stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog and the Foodie Guide for all the details as we share them!
Crave-able Merch
You might notice in the photo above that we’re giving you a sneak peek at some of what you can look forward to during this year’s festival.
Take home a taste of the fun with magnificent merchandise that keeps the magic alive between visits, featuring beloved friends, like Remy from “Ratatouille” and Mickey Mouse.
And here’s a fun reveal: Everyone’s favorite purple dragon, Figment, will also be cooking up some fun this fall just in time for the festival. Want to see more? Here are a few more things we have up our chef coat sleeve, including fun drinkware from CORKCICLE.
CommuniCore Hall
As we told you in a recent story, CommuniCore Hall will open on June 10 in the heart of World Celebration.
And, once the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival begins, the new space will add exciting fresh elements to the festival. Stay tuned for more!
Eat to the Beat Concert Series, Scavenger Hunts and More
As evening falls, chart-topping musical acts and Orlando’s top talent will take to the stage as part of the Eat to the Beat Concert Series presented by Florida Blue. Performances will take place nightly in the America Gardens Theatre. Eat to the Beat Dining Packages will also return, ensuring you get a seat for your favorite acts. We’ll have more details soon.
On the scavenger hunt front, guests can purchase a map (while supplies last) for Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak and search to find their favorite little chef hidden throughout World Showcase.
