Foodie Guide By June 17, 2022 No Comments

Foodie news is coming your way because we’ve got the latest and greatest going on at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Some of these are sweet, some are savory, but there’s one thing for certain about them all – they’re delicious.

From the new BBQ classics coming to Paradise Garden Grill to some adorable, sweet treats making their way to multiple resorts at Walt Disney World, this summer there are tons of spots just waiting for you and your tastebuds to explore. If you’re ready, let’s give your stomach something to look forward to, shall we?

Collage of dishes and sips at Paradise Garden Grill

At Disneyland Resort, you’ll find some mouthwatering dishes and sips over at Paradise Garden Grill nestled within Disney California Adventure park. Here, you can now enjoy some BBQ delights added to the menu. The Kansas City-style BBQ Ribs has pork ribs with house-made BBQ sauce, pickles, and onions and the North Carolina-style BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich has creamy coleslaw, crispy jalapeños, pickles, and onions. The St. Louis-style BBQ-Rubbed Chicken is a beer-brined, roasted half chicken with pickles, and onions. All of these options come with your choice of side – the Poblano Mac & CheeseChuck Wagon BeansPotato Salad with BaconCreamy ColeslawAndouille Sausage, or the Jalapeño-cheddar Cornbread.

For beverages try the Peach Cobbler Cocktail with moonshine, peach schnapps, and peach-cinnamon purée or the Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer.

Family Picnic Platter at Paradise Garden Grill

If you want a little of everything, then the Family Picnic Platter is for you. This has a BBQ half chicken, pulled pork, ribs, andouille sausage, poblano mac & cheese, chuck wagon beans, potato salad with bacon, creamy coleslaw, jalapeño-cheddar cornbread, pickles, and onions. To top it off, it is also served with cherry cheesecake. Now that’s a meal!

Poutine collage at Red Rose Taverne

Red Rose Taverne at Disneyland park will be featuring a new Late Night Menu with some tasty eats to enjoy. The plant-based Bonsoir Chili Cheese Poutine includes a hearty plant-based chili, shredded “cheese,” and seasoned waffle fries while Our Classic Poutine dish has slow-cooked beef, gravy, cheese curds, and spiced, pickled red onions on waffle fries – yum! Lastly, the Firelight Fries features tangy spiced chicken and pepperoncini ranch sauce on ranch-seasoned waffle fries. This yummy Late Night Menu is currently available from 8:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. daily. You can pick up all of these through Mobile Ordering on the Disneyland app, too!

Also at Disneyland park, Harbour Galley has some treats for you. You can treat yourself to Soup in a Sourdough Bread Bowl with your choice of clam chowder, steak gumbo, or the plant-based vegetable gumbo. If soup isn’t your thing, there’s also the new Harbour Muffuletta Salad with cured meats and cheese on mixed lettuce with olive tapenade, giardiniera, pepperoncini, and Italian dressing with sliced sourdough. Now that’s a tasty salad. For those looking for a satisfying sip, the Pelican Punch is a chilled tropical blend of pineapple, coconut, and lime.

These aren’t the only updates to New Orleans Square because Royal Street Veranda also has some new dishes recently added to the menu. For those looking for a plant-based option, the Hoppin’ John IMPOSSIBLE Royal Wrap has seasoned plant-based meat with rice, black-eyed peas, “cheddar,” lettuce, and Cajun dressing in a spinach tortilla. MouseDining Review: Thigh High Chicken Biscuits at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Disney Springs

General, Restaurant Reviews By June 12, 2022 No Comments

Art Smith’s Homecomin’ offers a challenge for guests wanting to dine here. Since Homecomin’ resides withing Disney Springs, guests do not need a theme park ticket. The parking garages provide free parking. The location of Homecomin’ can be found easily in the all the hustle and bustle of Disney Springs. They serve lunch from 11am to about 4pm. After those lunch hours, they serve dinner until 10pm. This place also offers a weekend brunch starting at 9:30am. So, what is the challenge?

The challenge, should you choose to accept it, involves getting a table. The seating within this place for table service is lower than you would expect. An outdoor seating area also exists though. In my attempts to test the lovely Walt Disney Dining reservation system for an upcoming surprise trip, Homecomin’ has been one of hardest reservations to get even at 6:00 eastern time sixty days in advance. For over a week, I woke up 5:40am Florida time to see how long reservations last for dinner time. I compared Homecomin’ with Space 220, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and Topolino’s Terrace. According to MouseDining.com data, those places present significant difficulty in getting a reservation. On most days I checked, Homecomin’ reservations lasted about same time as those other places. In that small sample size, reservation acquisition presents problems.

Since Homecomin’ could be difficult to get a table, is it worth part of your Orlando area vacation? I say yes. If you are looking for traditional southern USA comfort food, this place meets that desire. If you want quality table service dining with no entrée over $40, then Homecomin’ deserves a look.

Well, this place offers a menu designed by Chef Art Smith.  Art Smith is known to be at this location often. I proclaim this next assertion about Chef Art Smith with admiration. I desire to show no condemnation. However, Art Smith does not create food for those looking to lose weight. His cuisine style builds on taste not long-term health. If your doctor needs you to lose weight, please do not even walk by this restaurant. My vegan and gluten free dining friends find few options here. Despite that, reservations go quickly. If you simply want a solid table service meal at reasonable “Disney” prices, run to this place. Also, if you believe the myth that vacation calories do not count, plan to enjoy Homecomin’.

As you might expect, chicken perfectly fried stars on this menu. If you want truly wonderful fried chicken, visit this place. A great example of this sits on the appetizer menu here. Guests can order the “Thigh High Chicken Biscuits. This appetizer provides a great introduction to the food at Homecomin’.

These chicken biscuits cost $17. However, this appetizer might be worth that price point. The menu description tells us that three excellent biscuits come filled with Chef Art’s famous fried chicken thigh meat. The biscuits then are drizzled with hot honey.

These USA style biscuits (sorry UK friends for our use of English) are well prepared. Many people rave about the biscuits here. Also, these biscuits present a nice balancing cheddar taste to go with the rest of item. As you can see, the signature bread and butter pickles feature prominently with these biscuits. As Jeremy Stein of Main Street Magic Podcast, friend of MouseDining, would point out, you can get these without pickles. However, if you like bread-and-butter style pickles, you should enjoy these. If you dislike pickles but have someone in your party who likes pickles, get them on the side. They will thank you later.

The well-prepared chicken benefits from the flavorful biscuits and honey mixed with Art Smith’s special hot sauce. The flavor combination earns high praise. If the idea of hot honey alarms you, my experience with hot honey is that it provides flavor. Still, the flavor does not reach an excessive spicy kick to scare your taste buds. The balance of hot sauce and honey fits this appetizer thoroughly.

Though some guests voice concern about the quality of the chicken itself. I feel those complaints function as the exception not the rule. Normally, the chicken thigh meat comes well prepared. Also, it is incredibly tender with good flavor by itself. The most common complaint I hear about this appetizer involves nothing about the taste. Many guests would like to see a larger version of this on the main entree portion of the menu. Some wish for a way to get more biscuits even as an appetizer. Also, three chicken biscuits can be tough to share in a group of four or more.

Sure, some podcasters, already mentioned in this article, will shout to the rooftops that the chicken biscuit sliders at Three Bridges are better. Though those get good reviews, I think most people will prefer the Art Smith version. However, even Jeremy would agree if you got a reservation at Homecomin, then this appetizer is worth your time.

If you need help getting a reservation here or any other Walt Disney World restaurant, MouseDining can help. As always, eat like you mean it!

Victoria & Albert’s Nears Grand Return

News By June 10, 2022 No Comments

Few establishments allow you to indulge in the luxurious cuisine quite like Victoria & Albert’s. We’re thrilled to share this fine dining restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is preparing for its momentous return on July 28, with reservations available starting June 20.

Victoria & Albert’s, a recipient of the AAA Five Diamond Award since 2000 and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award since 2018, is known for its unmatched dining experience with exquisite dishes made with ingredients from across the globe. This restaurant is the only one in Florida to hold the honor of having both the AAA Five Diamond and the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star awards and joins only 26 others in the nation with this same unique distinction.

The time has come to experience its timeless elegance and modern twist on American cuisine. Not only will its flavors be enhanced, but the space will be too. The newly reimagined dining room brings guests into a Victorian-styled setting with murals and wall coverings that showcase a timeless elegance and subtle inspirations of a whimsical garden. For a more intimate evening, the private Queen Victoria’s Room or the coveted Chef’s Table with a front-row seat to the culinary masterminds at work may be the option for you. The world-class wine collection found within its wine cellar, with over 500 selections, perfectly pairs with your dishes by the sommeliers on staff. If you’re interested in zero-proof cocktails, there are delicious beverage pairing options for you as well.

Upon reopening, you’ll savor your way through the Chef’s Tasting Menu. Each dish balances elegant ingredients with unique flavors. With the ever-evolving menu at Victoria & Albert’s, guests will be able to indulge in dishes such as Colorado Lamb with pickled blueberry and violet mustard and line-caught turbot with fennel fondue, and Pernod beurre blanc. Those who enjoy the finest of beef can experience the Wagyu A-5 Miyazaki with sauce romesco and potato rösti. Chocolate lovers will revel in the Spectrum of Chocolate, an ombré featuring specialty sourced chocolates with accents of buttermilk, Grand Marnier, and vanilla.

Chef Matthew Sowers and Executive Chef Kevin Chong

These dishes are masterfully created by the talented culinary team led by Victoria & Albert’s Chef de Cuisine Matthew Sowers. He has been working at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts since 2006, with over 15 years of culinary experience at Victoria & Albert’s, in addition to curating menus for Remy on the Disney Dream and Fantasy. With more than 30 years of experience, Pastry Chef Kristine Farmer was part of the opening team at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and currently leads the pastry team of the resort, including its three signature restaurants, Disney’s Fairytale Weddings, and even the production of the gingerbread house.

Leading the talented chefs is Executive Chef Kevin Chong, who oversees all culinary operations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It is no small feat, but this chef and his team uphold the reputation that has long been established for these delicious eateries. Of course, we can’t talk about Victoria and Albert’s without mentioning the legacy of Culinary Director, Chef Scott Hunnel. The James Beard award nominee provides direction and mentorship to chefs across multiple resorts, including the team at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Sommelier Israel Perez serves as the maître d’hotel where he and his award-winning team pay special attention to every detail of the dining experience. For over 20 years, he has created memorable experiences for guests at various signature restaurants across the Walt Disney World Resort.

A reminder about Victoria & Albert’s dress code – be sure to dress to impress, as this is an exquisite and intimate dining experience and the culinary crown jewel of the Walt Disney World Resort. Guests are expected to dress accordingly for this upscale location with semi-formal to formal attire that respects the restaurant’s elegant and opulent aesthetic.

The reopening of this fine dining staple comes as part of the multi-year transformation of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, honoring its rich history at Walt Disney World Resort while enhancing its iconic Victorian charm and elegance. This grand transformation began with the addition of Enchanted Rose lounge and the reimagining of Cítricos – which features sophisticated, subtle nods to beloved Disney films – and continued with the reopening of The Grand Floridian Spa. Victoria & Albert’s and the newly enhanced and expanded accommodations at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will open this summer. The transformation will continue with updated offerings across the resort over the coming years.

Is Topolino’s Terrace Worth All the Hype?

General, Restaurant Reviews By June 8, 2022 No Comments

Only about three years ago, Walt Disney World guests were able to make dining reservations 180 days in advance. Maybe since so many things in our world have changed, many of us forget about the stress of making reservations 180 days in advance. Since guests can only make dining reservations within the official 60-day window now, we forget about the thrill and terror of deciding what we wanted to eat basically six months in advance. When Topolino’s Terrace- Flavors of the Rivera prepared to open, people were frantically trying to get reservations for December 2019 in the middle of summer 2019. As the long restaurant title implies, this restaurant exists within Disney’s Riviera Resort.

This restaurant offers French and Italian style cuisine in a fine dining setting. As Walt Disney World marketing likes to say, the views from this sweeping rooftop area rival many other rooftop restaurants. Currently, Topolino’s offers breakfast from 7:30am-12:15pm each day. Adult breakfast entrees cost $42 with child breakfast entrees costing $27. This breakfast comes with high quality food and drink. However, breakfast also comes with some Walt Disney World style. This breakfast qualifies as a character breakfast. Though character appearances can change, this breakfast offers some great Disney characters. How great? Well, Donald and Daisy Duck appear. If that is not enough, Mickey and Minnie Mouse appear also. Depending on your family’s obsession with these characters, their appearance might be worth the price of breakfast alone. This is one of many reasons that reservations are difficult to acquire for Topolino’s Terrace.

The reasons explaining the hype for Topolino’s Terrace do not end with just character breakfast dining. Topolino’s Terrace offers signature dining in the evening. They serve dinner from 5pm-9:30om each evening. As you might expect, reservations present a challenge to acquire. Currently, this restaurant ranks as very difficult to get a table.  The dinner menu quality explains the reason for the demand and hype.  To start with, the bread service provided for all guests sets a great beginning for your dining experience.

The dinner menu offers several high-quality appetizers for your signature dining such as ricotta and gnocchi. For entrees, guests chose between handmade pasta dishes, seafood dishes, veal options, and a filet mignon.  The desserts offered here earn the hype also. Guests rave about the chocolate cake and the vanilla/citrus crème brulee.

Now, as you are reading this, you might be concerned about the amount of money needed. Yes, this place offers signature dining at signature dining prices. For example, the filet mignon costs $54. Still, that price compares well to Orlando area signature dining for a filet mignon. The filet mignon gets solid reviews here. However, what if you want great dining but do not want to spend over $50 for an entrée?

I have a solution for that mathematical puzzle. I suggest the rigatoni here. Okay, I know that fails to sound exciting. Your interest might lower when told the rigatoni currently costs $32. Please stay with me. The rigatoni features braised chicken sugo, rapini, wild mushrooms, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. That rigatoni sounds way more impressive that something you might make a home.

Let me assure you, this pasta-based dish deserves to be at a signature dining restaurant. Many of my Walt Disney World foodies claim this pasta dish as their favorite on Walt Disney World property. The entrée offers an incredibly creamy texture. If you visualize “rich” type of food, this rigatoni meets that standard. Though initially the portion size looks small, this rigatoni qualifies as a filling entrée. The freshness of this entrée exceeds expectations. Even the rapini (broccoli rabe) tastes incredibly refreshing. The rapini adds texture and flavor to this pasta. The chicken might qualify as melt in your mouth good. Also, the chicken tastes so tender. For a chicken pasta menu item, this one gets near perfection. In addition, the cheese looks and tastes wonderful to cap off this great entrée.

Even if you do not fully agree with my glowing review of the rigatoni, you could order this rigatoni and either an appetizer or dessert staying around $50 for signature dining. Overall, the whole dining experience explains the hype.

So, is Topolino’s Terrace worth the hype? You should decide yourself, but we say yes!  Yet, if you are lucky enough to get a reservation, enjoy your meal. You might want to consider a service that helps with finding dining reservations at Walt Disney World. The MouseDining system and subscription can assist in finding those tough to locate reservations. Whatever you do, enjoy your meals. As always, eat like you mean it!

Over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, you’ll find Pioneer Hall and within its walls the Pioneer Hall Players who are ready to dance and sing their way into your hearts!

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue plays host to some of the best comfort food around. As the gang brings on the tunes, the servers bring on the food. Not to mention, it’s all-you-care-to-enjoy with fountain drinks and for those over 21, red and white sangria, draft beer, and wine are also included!

Whether you’ve never experienced it before or you’ve been longing for its return, this outing is not one to be missed upon reopening. To learn more about the show, check out this blog post on its evolution and be sure to make a reservation to enjoy every moment, and dish, on your next visit.

Alrighty, it’s showtime! Let’s get into the food and drinks soon to be served up at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.

The Hoop Salad from Hoop-Dee-Doo

Once you sit down, you better have your appetite ready because the feasting begins right off the bat. The Hoop Salad is simple yet incredibly satisfying with the signature “hoop” vinaigrette topped with sharp white cheddar, cucumbers, and tomatoes. If you’re a fellow bread-lover like myself, the House-made Cornbread with delicious honey butter is to die for. You can also nibble on the tasty Creamy Coleslaw before the main course graces your table. Make sure you don’t fill up too much!

Food options from Hoop-Dee-Doo

Let’s move on to the main course, shall we? Your taste buds are in for a real treat because once you see what dishes will lie before you, you’ll want to chow down immediately! First up, we’ve got the Pecan-smoked BBQ Pork Ribs with BBQ sauce. This dish is a BBQ-lovers dream with delicious flavors that just melt in your mouth. The other main plate is the one, the only – the Legendary Fried Chicken – and it tastes just like how it sounds … legendary. This one is a staple and for good reason!

What dinner is complete without some yummy side dishes? Hoop-Dee-Doo brings its A-game to the stage with its accompaniments. One of my personal favorites, the Cornbread-crusted Macaroni and Cheese is an explosion of flavors in your mouth and truly the ultimate comfort food. If you love potatoes, the Home-style Mashed Potatoes pair perfectly with the fried chicken and pork ribs. And rounding out the sides is a classic – Cowboy Beans because you can’t have some BBQ without some beans!

‘Ma’s Famous Strawberry Shortcake from Hoop-Dee-Doo

And now for the grand finale, the delectable ‘Ma’s Famous Strawberry Shortcake topped with whipped cream and strawberries. This can’t-miss dessert is a staple of Pioneer Hall and is the perfect way to finish up your foodie evening.

If you have any dietary needs or restrictions for any of these eats, don’t worry. Just let the chef know when you check-in and they’ll get you an alternative dish that’s just as delicious to enjoy while watching the show!

Beverages available at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

Now that we’ve talked about the food, we’ve got to discuss the drinks! In addition to the included beverages you can enjoy, there are a few new adult beverage options you can sip on for an added cost. Wet your whistle with the new The Giddy-Up cocktail featuring the hall barkeep’s blend of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, and freshly brewed iced tea. You can also choose from an assortment of locally crafted beers including Tampa Bay Brewing Elephant Foot IPA, Cigar City Jai Alai IPA, Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale, Orange Blossom Pilsner, Central 28 UnderDuck Lager, and 3 Daughters Brewing Blonde Ale.

If you weren’t excited already for Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue to return, I sure do hope you are now! June 23 will be well worth the wait.

What’s Cooking: Tasty Additions Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

News By May 31, 2022 No Comments

Hope you’re ready for some foodie news that’ll rock your taste buds’ world because we’ve got some exciting updates that are coming soon to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. From sweets to the savory, there are plenty of new items joining the treats roster at the park, and they are not to be missed.

Your foodie adventure is about to begin. Let’s get into this edition of What’s Cooking, shall we?

Whether you’ve been to Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater Restaurant before or have always wanted to drive into this retro classic, the new menu premiering June 2 is not to be missed. This “theater” is debuting some super tasty offerings including appetizers, entrées, and desserts. Start off your meal with the Sci-fi Smoked Wings tossed in a porter barbecue sauce with a house-made pineapple and poppy seed coleslaw or the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, a plant-based blend of spinach, artichoke, red peppers, cauliflower, cashew cheese, and oat milk served with house-made chips.

You can also enjoy the Black Garlic Caesar Salad, a petite romaine, grilled hearts of artichoke, chopped Applewood smoked bacon, shaved parmesan covered with house-made black garlic Caesar dressing and served with a tasty, toasted crostini. Or the Grilled Chicken Citrus Salad that perfectly combines romaine lettuce, spinach, and arugula with rainbow tomatoes, candied pecans, cranberries, and feta cheese topped with a house-made citrus vinaigrette and grilled marinated chicken.

If you’re interested in some burgers, this new menu has got you covered. The Feature Film Burger – Surf & Turf is a unique twist on a classic with a signature blend of beef and house-made seasoning served on a brioche bun and topped with a shrimp and crab cake, pepper jack cheese, chipotle hollandaise sauce, grilled onions, heirloom tomato, arugula, and house-made vinaigrette. A previous “featured” item, the Pork on Pork Burger has been awarded a permanent spot on the new menu. This dish includes a grilled house-made pork patty topped with roasted pork belly, white sharp cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, cabbage slaw, and a house-made Carolina mustard sauce.

The grand finale of the meal, dessert, is also getting a revamp. The Red Planet is a delicious white chocolate cheesecake with blueberry compote on a graham cracker tart with a matcha sponge and gold candied pecans. How yummy does that sound? For a more tropical option, you have the Out-of-this-World Sci-Fi Swirl. This dish features a pineapple mousse with passion fruit cosmic swirl and a spiced lime spaceship garnished with space dust and blood orange coulis.

You better get the whole family together because it’s time for a good ole’ fashioned family meal at 50’s Prime Time Café. Step back in time with some of their new plates that bring TV dinner to a different level that feels just like home, beginning June 7. If you love a little kick to an adored dish, then you simply must try the Jalapeño Popper Deviled Eggs. On the other hand, if spice isn’t your thing, don’t worry, because there’s another classic starter for you – the Creamy Tomato Soup – yes, please! After you’ve enjoyed these tasty plates, get ready for a return that is here to make your taste buds very happy. Grandpa Jean’s Chicken Pot Pie has made its official return to 50’s Prime Time Café. This has a traditional pastry crust filled with chicken, potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, corn, and peas.

I hope you save room for dessert after these eats, because there are a few sweet treats making an appearance at this retro joint. The Pineapple Upside Down Cake features yellow cake soaked in pineapple juice topped with caramelized pineapples and maraschino cherries and garnished with whip cream and caramel sauce – wow! Also joining the menu is the Lemon Meringue Pie, a lemon curd in a flaky pie shell topped with a toasted meringue and garnished with a raspberry sauce. The sweets don’t stop there because there is also the Grasshopper Bar! This dessert is a mint white chocolate mousse with chocolate chips on a chocolate chip cookie and is topped with whip cream and chocolate chips. It is a mint chocolate chip lover’s dream.

And rounding out these exciting additions is the Stained Glass Dessert. This treat, made for the little ones, sees a whipped pineapple fluff studded with cubes of strawberry, lime, and orange gelatin to look like stained glass. How adorable?

Few things are more fitting in the summer than ice cream, and not many flavors are more Florida than Key lime. But do you want to know what’s even better? Combining both ice cream and Key lime into a milkshake, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at Hollywood Scoops. Starting tomorrow, they’ll be serving up the new Key Lime Milkshake, a Key lime vanilla cream shake topped with lemon lime doughnut garnished with a sweet graham cracker crumb.

Take a trip to another world when you step into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge where you’ll discover two tasty beverages at Kat Saka’s Kettle. The Cold Brew Black Caf features Joffrey’s Cold Brew, sweet cream cheese, and cocoa puffs and is a delicious non-alcoholic treat! For a more adult version, the Spiked Cold Brew Black Caf has an extra ingredient – Godiva liqueur. Talk about galactic goodies!

Are you excited for these enhancements coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Give your taste buds a treat on your next tasty adventure and try them all!

Best Bites to Celebrate National Burger Day at Disney

Foodie Guide By May 27, 2022 No Comments

Attention burger afficionados! National Burger Day is nearly here and Disney Parks and resorts have some incredible options that are not to be missed. This important foodie day falls on May 28 and we’re here to help you celebrate in true foodie fashion by telling you where to find some of the best burgers at Disneyland ResortWalt Disney World Resort, and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort.

From the Chipotle BBQ Bacon Double Cheeseburger at Smokejumpers Grill to the new bites coming to various resorts at Walt Disney World Resort, there is no shortage of ways to bask in the holiday festivities. And if you’re anything like me, you love burgers and are always down to try the mouthwatering concoctions Disney chefs are whipping up.

Are you looking for some entertainment to go along with your snacking on this special day? Well, We’ve got the thing for you – “The Bob’s Burgers Movie.” This new film, released today, is an animated, big-screen, musical comedy-mystery-adventure based on the long-running Emmy®-winning series. If you’re a fan, you simply must see what happens to your favorite characters after a ruptured water main creates a sinkhole right in front of Bob’s Burgers.

We won’t keep you and your tastebuds waiting any long. Get your appetite ready because it’s burger time!

Burgers from Disneyland Park

If you find yourself at Disneyland park and feel the hunger for a burger, don’t worry, because this park has got you covered. First up, Hungry Bear Restaurant has the Chili Mac Cheeseburger. This one doesn’t mess around with 1/3 lb angus chuck patty with homestyle chili, mac & cheese bites, American cheese, and fried onions. For a plant-based option inspired by a tale as old as time, Red Rose Taverne has the Beast Breakfast Burger, a 1/3 lb angus patty, bacon-orange marmalade, egg, and arugula on a toasted bun served with potato bites.

Burgers from Disney California Adventure Park

Get ready for a foodie adventure through your taste buds at Disney California Adventure park. Drop into Smokejumpers Grill to try the Chipotle BBQ Bacon Double Cheeseburger featuring two angus beef patties, smoked provolone, bacon, lettuce, onion rings, and chipotle BBQ sauce served with crinkle-cut fries or onion rings – yum! Over at Lamplight Lounge, the Pastrami-spiced IMPOSSIBLE Burger is a great option with a seasoned patty, dairy-free American cheese, pastrami-spiced pineapple, house-made pickles, and mustard aioli on toasted focaccia.

Burgers from Disneyland Resorts

The resorts at Disneyland Resort are also playing along with their burger game. Embrace the beauty of California at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, where the Craftsman Grill has the Mediterranean Wagyu Burger. This dish sits an American wagyu patty, tzatziki sauce, and a red onion-feta salad upon an herb bun with your choice of seasonal fruit or za’atar fries. At the Disneyland Hotel, you’ll find the yummy Angus 1/2 lb Hawaiian Cheeseburger served with sweet potato fries for a little bit of a tropical flare.

Burgers from Downtown Disney

The Downtown Disney District is also a great spot to stop for some foodie fun tomorrow. At Black Tap Burgers & Shakes, the intense Wagyu Steakhouse Burger has wagyu beef, pepper jack cheese, bacon, crispy onions, A1 sauce, and a roasted garlic mayo – perfectly made for burger lovers. Over at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, for just May 28, get a little flavor from the South with the Bourbon Street BTLA Burger made up of certified angus beef, applewood smoked bacon, fried green tomatoes, baby arugula, avocado, smoked gouda cheese, and a sweet onion spread served with a spicy remoulade slaw. This one sure has that wow factor. (Bourbon Street BTLA Burger is available while supplies last.)

Burgers from Magic Kingdom Park

Time for the East Coast! Magic Kingdom Park has more than a few burgers to enjoy, two of which include The Main Street Burger found at The Plaza Restaurant and the 1/3 lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger from Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café. The Main Street Burger doesn’t mess around with a 7-ounce all-beef patty topped with cheddar, house-made bacon, lettuce, tomato, a sunny-side-up egg, beer-battered onion ring, and roasted poblano-mayonnaise served upon a flour-dusted Kaiser bun – now that’s a burger! The 1/3 lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger is a classic with a flame-broiled 1/3 lb angus burger with bacon, American cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a brioche bun with a side of your choice. For an added bonus, you can enjoy the lovely tunes of Sonny Eclipse while you eat.

Burgers from EPCOT

If you find yourself in EPCOT for National Burger Day, there are tons of options all across the park. Let’s take a look at Regal Eagle with the Barbecue Jackfruit Burger. This delicious plant-based burger is topped off with barbecue jackfruit and lets you pick from a variety of sides like creamy coleslaw, seasoned French fries, and the house-made pickles. If you haven’t had a chance to go to the new Connections Eatery, then the French Bistro Burger is for you! This dish features a gourmet burger blend, caramelized onions, bacon, brie, mushroom, and Dijon mayonnaise perfectly combined on a toasted brioche bun. These both sound incredible to me.

Burgers from Disney's Hollywood Studios

Next up – Disney’s Hollywood Studios where we have some classics and new options! Sci-Fi Dine In is serving up the Pork on Pork Burger starting June 2. This unique dish features a grilled house-made pork patty topped with roasted pork belly, white sharp cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, cabbage slaw, and a house made Carolina mustard sauce. If you’re interested in a plant-based option, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has you covered too, don’t worry. At ABC Commissary, the California Burger is made up of a grilled plant-based burger, grilled portobello mushroom, cashew-mozzarella, garlic-tomato “aioli,” nut-free pesto, lettuce, and tomato. Whether you eat plant-based all the time or not, this burger is packed with flavor!

Burgers from Disney's Animal Kingdom

Restaurantosaurus at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park has a couple burgers for you to try. The 1/3 lb Bacon Cheeseburger is your classic cheeseburger topped with lettuce and tomato and served with a true burger staple – french fries. Also at this spot, I’ve got another plant-based item to share with you, the IMPOSSIBLE Spicy Southwestern Burger. This dish features a plant-based burger patty, “pepper jack,” chipotle sauce, lettuce, and tomato. These are some dino-mite options for National Burger Day!

Burger from D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs

If you’ve been to D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs, you may want to take another visit because starting tomorrow, May 28, it will be getting a revamp of flavor. Rediscover the enhanced dishes on the menu, like the Classic Cheeseburger with two pressed signature-blend patties – yes, two patties – with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a pickle topped off with the signature 1921 sauce. Or try the Barbecue Burger, also featuring two pressed signature-blend patties topped with a fried onion ring, Muenster cheese, bacon, barbecue sauce and lettuce. These new burgers are a must for any burger enthusiast. Fun fact, all of the burger buns found here are made in-house at Amorette’s Patisserie!

Burgers from Walt Disney World Resorts

The resorts at Walt Disney World are not messing around with their burger game. These chefs have assembled some truly next-level dishes, all featuring a grilled signature-blend burger and brioche bun that can’t be missed.

Disney’s All-Star Movies’ World Premiere Food Court has the Showstopper Burger, and the name is quite fitting. It has a bacon-onion jam, cheddar, provolone, jalapeño, and crispy onions situated on a toasted brioche bun. At the Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, you’ll find the Blues Burger with blue cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, and garlic aïoli atop that toasted brioche bun. Rounding up Disney’s All-Star Resorts, is the Bases Loaded Burger from the End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. This dish also features a grilled signature-blend burger with fresh mozzarella, basil aioli, arugula, and tomato – how tasty!

At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Landscape of Flavors is expanding your palate with the Benedict Burger with Canadian bacon, fried egg, hollandaise sauce, lettuce, and tomato.

Burgers from Walt Disney World Resorts

For some island vibes, Centertown Market at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort perfectly combines a toasted coconut curry aioli, lime jalapeño jam, fried tostones, and arugula into a savory, tropical treat with the Swashbuckler Burger. Classic flavors are here with the Poppin’ Pimento Burger at Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This burger features that grilled signature-blend burger topped with bacon, pimento cheese, cheddar, lettuce, and tomato for a fad that never goes out of style.

Take a little trip down to Louisiana and see what Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter has for you. Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory has the Baton Rouge Burger topped with fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, spicy remoulade, and bacon. You and your tastebuds will feel just like you’re in the French Quarter with this one. You don’t have to go all the way down the bayou for some Southern flavors, just over to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside where the Riverside Mill Food Court is serving up the Bayou Amber Ale Burger. This burger is topped with spicy shredded prime rib and an amber ale cheese sauce sandwiched between a toasted brioche bun.

Burgers from The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort

Lastly, for Walt Disney World Resort, The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort has quite the item to enjoy for this special day – the Mac & Cheese Burger from The Chuck Wagon. This dish is the best of both worlds with an angus cheeseburger and fried mac & cheese, bacon, smoked gouda, and Carolina mustard barbecue sauce. Now that’s a burger!

If you’re enjoying a beachside getaway at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort on National Burger Day, make sure you drop into Wind & Waves Grill for their Vero Beach Signature Burger. This plate is signature for a reason with sweet barbeque pork, bacon jam, sriracha coleslaw, beer-battered onion ring, and a fried egg on a unique “turtle” bun. It’ll let your taste buds set sail.

I hope you’re as excited for National Burger Day as I am. Happy eating and enjoy all these delicious dishes from coast to coast!

Get ready to embrace your soulful side with some delicious treats and excitement coming to Disneyland Resort this summer. Throughout the month of June, we are continuing our festivities for Celebrate Soulfully with the introduction of some tasty treats, eats, and sips honoring Black heritage and culture.

Multiple locations at Disneyland Resort are serving up selections to highlight Black Music Month with not-to-be-missed experiences filled with food, entertainment, art, and, of course, music! For foodie fun, you can taste test the Chicken-coconut Curry Sweet Potato at Troubadour Tavern hosted by Dreyer’s™ or the delicious Peaches and Cream Funnel Cake Fries from Award Wieners, but that’s not all to take part in. Did I mention we’ve got a new recipe for you to try? I’ve included how to make the Pride Rock Punch from Troubadour Tavern hosted by Dreyer’s from the comfort of your own home so you can enjoy this refreshing drink anywhere, anytime!

Now, let’s get to the food!

Salted Plantain Chips, Berbere-spice Popcorn, Chicken-coconut Curry Sweet Potato and sweets from Hakuna Matata Sweets

Starting May 28, Troubadour Tavern hosted by Dreyer’s at Disneyland park will be filled with special items that join the excitement, many of which can be found on Mobile Order on the Disneyland app. For tasty snacks, try the Salted Plantain Chips or the Berbere-spice Popcorn tossed with a warming blend of spices.

The Chicken-coconut Curry Sweet Potato features a baked sweet potato topped with a Malawian chicken-coconut curry – yum! For a sweeter option, Hakuna Matata Sweets offer up a trio of animal print cookies, including a coconut macaroon, pineapple orange thumbprint, and a butter chocolate chunk cookie topped with cacao nibs and a white chocolate animal print décor. Or for a bright and refreshing treat, try the Nestlé® Outrageous Orange Push-up®  frozen dairy dessert!

Cardamom Cold Brew and Pride Rock Punch

To complete your soulful meal with one (or all) of these items, add a beverage! The Cardamom Cold Brew is made up of cold brew coffee, brown sugar, and cardamom over ice. The Pride Rock Punch, with the recipe found down below, brings together Gold Peak tea, pineapple, mango, tamarind, and orange juice over ice. Talk about refreshing. All great options to grab and enjoy while you take in a performance of “Tale of the Lion King” at the Fantasyland Theatre!

Foot-long BBQ Pulled Pork Dog and Peaches and Cream Funnel Cake Fries

Now, let’s take a little trip over to Disney California Adventure park where Award Wieners has some treats featured from June 1 through September 2.
