News By October 14, 2025 No Comments

Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort continues to turn up the flavor and flair with another new hot spot on the way — Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby — an all-new British-themed gastropub in the works from the creators of Earl of Sandwich and the highly decorated, world-famous Chef Gordon Ramsay.

The pub will bring the Brit pop energy of the swinging ‘60s London, whilst a selection of Gordon Ramsay’s iconic and delicious British classic dishes delivers culinary star power.

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby Coming to Downtown Disney

‘60s British Themed Gastropub to be Located Atop Earl of Sandwich

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby will be located atop the new Earl of Sandwich and is poised to be a great gathering spot for visitors and locals seeking an eclectic blend of British hospitality and elevated pub favorites.

Imagine stepping into a space inspired by London’s famed Carnaby Street during the height of the ‘60s cultural revolution: plush interiors, iconic British pop art and an irresistible soundtrack of “British Invasion” rock bands, all transporting patrons to a groovier, more glamorous time.

Soak in the sights from two stylish outdoor terraces, gather at the lively bar area, or tuck into signature booths, while savoring Gordon Ramsay’s renowned cuisine.

Classic British Dishes from Gordon Ramsay and Wide Selection of Beverages

The menu will pay homage to classic British fare, including Chef Ramsay’s legendary beef Wellington, crisp and tender fish and chips, and decadent sticky toffee pudding. To complement the flavorful cuisine, the restaurant will offer a wide-ranging list of wines and beers, as well as an imaginative selection of signature cocktails, each crafted to evoke the spirit of London’s most iconic pubs and lounges.

“All eyes were on London in the 1960s, a full on fantastic technicolour scene of people going out and having fun. We are bringing those cool vibes to Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby,” Chef Ramsay said. “Stunning interiors, incredible food and great music, whether it’s date night or dinner with friends or family, The Carnaby is going to bring the very best of cool Britannia to Downtown Disney District.”

Entertainment Inspired by the ‘60s

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby will also come alive after dark with live music on select evenings. Keep the evening swinging with themed performances carrying the energy of the ‘60s, making it the perfect destination for both dinner and a night out.

Chef Ramsay’s new location adds to other notable chefs who have or will have a presence at Downtown Disney including Carlos Gaytán of Paseo, Céntrico and Tiendita, and Joe Isidori of the upcoming Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon, and Pearl’s Roadside BBQ.

Avast Ye! The Beak and Barrel Photos and Details Await

News By August 22, 2025 No Comments

Ahoy mateys! Let’s raise a toast to The Beak and Barrel, officially open to sailors of all ages starting August 29, 2025. This “Pirates of the Caribbean”-themed tavern at Magic Kingdom Park will unite swashbucklers and buccaneers alike from across the Seven Seas to enjoy seaworthy sips and snacks while being immersed in the pirate life!

To get ready for yer experience, I’m here to tell ye the tale of all the fantastical details to be found in this here tavern, giving you a ‘sneak beak’ into the space … if you will. So drop anchor and get ready for yer next adventure! Aaarr ye ready? I know I am!

The Mess

The first large and lively space ye’ll find is The Mess, so named as it was once a mess hall for Spanish soldiers before it was claimed and repurposed by a cunning crew of pirates. Be sure to look up as ye enter to see a ship’s bell. Rumor has it this bell was from Captain Redd’s first ship gifted to Merry at the tavern’s founding. Some say they’re close friends, or perhaps fierce rivals.

Ye’ll also see long tables perfect for pirates to gather ’round and tell tall tales. A hefty old anchor covered in candles makes for a fine chandelier. Ye will also see the detailed Mermaid Windows to ye side, salvaged from the wreckage of an infamous pirate ship, caked with barnacles and filled with mystery.

At the far end of the room, the dark corner known as The Brig still bears the bars and framework of its past life – though the door rests nearby, pried off its hinges long ago. Should ye find yourself seated here, best mind your manners … for some say the walls remember every rascal they’ve kept.

Cursed Bar

Brimming with an impressive collection of rare bottles and prized spoils kept behind lock and key, the massive skull-shaped bar – anchored to the side of The Mess – is the eye-catcher of the space and has heard many, many shanties sung in its shadow.

At its heart rests the Enchanted Rum Bottle, an ornate bottle of grog, which sits in a place of honor in its own special cove. Gifted by a powerful enchantress, the tavern’s barrels and the pirates’ cheer will never run dry as long as the bottle stays full. Let’s hope ye won’t be left asking, “Why is the rum gone?”

Perched atop the bar, Rummy welcomes patrons and keeps an eye on the crew, quick with a story, joke, or song as he wobbles out from his main roost in the hollow of the skull’s eye.

Captains’ Quarters

As ye step into the Captains’ Quarters, expect a taste of the finer life. Once the private residence of the Spanish Comandante, its walls were lined with grand artwork and rich drapery. Yet time – and the rowdy hands of pirates – have left their mark with slashing blades and hot embers.

In the center of The Captains’ Quarters, an elegant fireplace provides a warm glow, and atop the mantel rests miniature ships in glass bottles. Yet ye need to be on the lookout, as these here small vessels are known to come alive and engage in a fearsome bottle-bound battle for any who dare to watch.

Captains’ Booths

Along the wall, find four grand booths with intricately carved wooden panels. Each booth tells stories of the exploits of notorious pirates, whose legends still echo across the seas.

Tucked further in the space, venture into a private sitting room where pirates partake in their favorite games of skill and chance. Ye may spy the telltale signs of past matches … and perhaps a warning for any bandits thinkin’ of bending the rules.

Mapmaker’s Room

The Mapmaker’s Room is filled to the brim with rolled up maps, pieces of parchment, spilled ink and many treasured secrets that belonged to a (some may say) crazed pirate cartographer.

Now, pirates gather round the sprawling worktable in the center of the room, where the Mapmaker would have spread out his tools and set to work. On the adjacent wall is a large painted map of the known pirating world, with many pirating secrets to be discovered … will ye be the one to bring them to light?

Arrgh, now that’s not all! There is so much to discover, so much that no matter how many times ye visit The Beak and Barrel, yer experience will differ!

Are me fellow pirates hungry and curious to learn more about the grog and grub served up at The Beak and Barrel?

Perfect Pairing: Iconic Sips and Views at GEO-82

News, Restaurant Reviews By June 28, 2025 Tags: , No Comments

For nearly 43 years, a visit to Spaceship Earth has ushered us to the top of the 180-foot-tall geodesic sphere while thanking the ancient Phoenicians and dreaming up our futuristic lives in an Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Today, join Laura and Rain from the Disney Parks Blog team as we take you inside GEO-82, the new 21+ Spaceship Earth lounge that immerses us in the flavors, views, and legacy that shape present-day EPCOT.

Ascending Into the Future

As we arrived at GEO-82 (near the Spaceship Earth post-show exit), our bright park surroundings were transformed via a softly curving hallway of warm metallics and subdued lighting, setting the tone for an escape into the futuristic lounge.

Here, we took in the glittering staircase, reminiscent of the spiraling ascent riders take toward the starry top of Spaceship Earth. All-too eager for bites and sips, we opted for the nearby elevator and were soon stepping into the intimate lobby of GEO-82.

The gold and bronze hues throughout the lobby and lounge offered an innovative, yet warm interpretation of a futuristic aesthetic. Amid comfortable leather seating, vintage-style prints of Spaceship Earth, EPCOT fireworks and the Monorail lined the walls.

We can’t over-emphasize the stroll to your table — here you’ll pass a life-sized Spaceship Earth facade, imitating the 11,324 Alucobond tiles that make up the sphere’s iconic exterior. At your feet, twinkling lights shine, reminding us of the glimmering points that dotted the ground of a Future World past.

Inside GEO-82

Entering the GEO-82 lounge, we were treated to a sweeping view of World Celebration Gardens, with World Showcase in the distance. In the lounge, mid-century modern-style furniture, soft music, and continued warm metallic tones flowed through the space.

Guests will be able to make GEO-82 reservations for special seatings to watch the nighttime spectacular, “Luminous The Symphony of Us.” As the show unfolds in harmony with the color-changing lights throughout World Celebration Gardens and on Spaceship Earth, the inside of GEO-82 will also change. The full musical score will play, and the lounge lighting will dim during the show to create a fully immersive experience.

Elevated Cocktails and Zero-Proof Cocktails

Make sure you ask the team at GEO-82 about the different cocktails and zero-proof cocktails. One of our favorite parts was hearing about the complexity behind each beverage. Every element of these futuristic concoctions was well thought out.

From the in-house created Lime Cordial syrup for the High Brow Batanga to the geodesic sphere-stamped ice cubes in the Brown Butter Old-Fashioned, no detail was left behind.

They even had a fun GEO-82 Cocktail Key that showed you how each beverage was going to be prepared.

We kept flipping back and forth from the menu to the key to discover the exact glassware, ice and preparation required for our selected beverages. Shaken? Stirred? Large ice cube or sphere? We loved deciphering how our beverage would look before we even ordered.

Plus, for American whiskey lovers who want to try a few options during their visit, the team also selected four unique bourbons for an exclusive Disney Select Bourbon Flight:

  • Uncle Nearest Single Barrel
  • Woodford Reserve Private Barrel
  • Blanton’s Gold Single Barrel
  • Stagg Private Barrel
GEO-82 Peach Shrub Whisky Smash review
Talk about perfect pairings! This drink and accompanying surprise are a symbol of the amazing collaboration happening at GEO-82

Peach Shrub Whisky Smash

Evan Rosenthal, Food and Beverage Concept Manager, was on-hand to recommend the Peach Shrub Whisky Smash to get a true taste of the collaborative spirit at GEO-82, “If there is a single drink that showcases the concept of this lounge, it is the peach shrub whisky smash.

With Toki Suntory Whisky, Lustau Amontillado Sherry, peach and mint shrub, and bubbles, the Peach Shrub Whisky Smash was a refreshing option to enjoy on a hot summer day while relaxing with a friend.

“Tastes like summertime in a glass! The peach and mint are a perfect combination.” – Laura

Evan went on to tell us how the Peach Shrub Whisky Smash was so essential to the harmony between the kitchen dishes and the cocktails served at the bar. “We had all these beautiful peaches and mint that we macerated overnight — the sugar brings out all those juices which we made the shrub from.”

The sherry and peach preserves were soon in the hands of Chef Robby Sayles, Chef de Cuisine – Concept Development at Walt Disney World. Inspired by the drink, Robby whipped up a very special sweet surprise to accompany each Peach Shrub Whisky Smash order.

Zero-Proof Cocktails at GEO-82 review

Taking Zero-Proof Cocktails to the Next Level

The GEO-82 menu offers two zero-proof drinks with very different flavor profiles. To ramp up your park day energy, the Manhattan in the Morning delivers a coffee kick balanced with smooth tart cherry and walnut bitters. Meanwhile, A Walk Through the Garden is the perfect afternoon sip; a bright and refreshing glass of bubbly citrus with a decorative spray of fennel and lemon slice.

A Walk Through the Garden

The sun was high on our EPCOT afternoon, so we tried A Walk Through the Garden for a lush cool down. It has Seedlip Garden 108 Non-Alcoholic Spirit, basil, fennel, lemon, Hella Cocktail Co. Orange Bitters, The Bitter Truth Celery Bitters, and sparkling bubbles.

“This might just be my new go-to summer drink. Refreshing and not too sweet, it’s a spritzer with a lot of depth, offering a new exploration of flavors with each sip!” – Rain

GEO-82, like Spaceship Earth, presents the possibilities for the future. Along with the exclusive cocktails and zero-proof cocktails we tried today, the drink menu will feature wines unique to GEO-82 and highlight family-owned, smaller production wineries.

Chef’s Selection of Artisanal Cheeses, Cured Meats, and Accompaniments

A Chef’s Selection of Delectable Bites

For foodies like us, a visit to EPCOT usually means tapping into the freshest seasonal selections, whether you are tasting your way through one of the EPCOT festivals or sitting here at the GEO-82 bar.

True to form, the charcuterie board at GEO-82 will feature a chef’s selection of artisanal cheeses, cured meats and accompaniments.

On our visit, we enjoyed Calabrese Salami, Jamon Iberico, Wagyu Bresaola, Tete De Moine, Truffle Tremor Goat Cheese, Point Reyes Blue Cheese, Cranberry Loaf, Euro Bake Baguette, Pecan-Green Olive Brittle, Peach Chutney, B&B Pickles, and Honeycomb.

Now, the pickles. Let’s talk about them because they come from The Land and the recipe is inspired by Chef Robby Sayles’ grandmother. She must have pixie dust at home because her recipe was magical and the perfect addition to the board.

“It was my first time trying some of the cheese and meat selections on the board, so this was a fun way to explore a sampling of flavors to pinpoint a few new favorites to pair with our drinks. Another careful collaboration between the kitchen and bar, the peach preserves from the Peach Shrub Whisky Smash showed up again on our plate as a delightful chutney.” – Rain

“The truffle goat cheese was incredible! I still have dreams about that cheese and all the items that accompanied it. Can’t wait to order the board again! ” – Laura

Evan said of the collaboration between the beverage and chef teams at GEO-82, “The chef and culinary team know that they’re not just responsible for the food, and they don’t think of it that way … They make sure that the flavors are right each time. They’ve seen how the team at the bar uses the ingredients, and they are proud of it.”

New Savi’s Workshop Lightsaber Offering and More

News By April 25, 2025 No Comments
Choose Your Path
  • Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers will soon debut a brand-new hilt theme called “Reclaimed and Reforged” at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort
  • This new, limited-time offering will be available on Planet Batuu starting May 4, 2025, while supplies last
  • Guests will be able to build their own lightsabers from scraps that have been scavenged by different pirates throughout the galaxy and made their way to Batuu

As just discussed at the Walt Disney Imagineering panel at Star Wars Celebration Japan, guests will soon be able to chart a new path inside Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort for a limited time beginning May 4, 2025!

Reclaim and Reforge New Savi’s Workshop Lightsabers

The remains of ancient battles, crashed ships and other abandoned pieces of scrap can be found all over the galaxy. To most people it may look like junk, but to the resourceful Jedi, it may just be the key to constructing a new lightsaber.

In the new hilt theme titled “Reclaimed and Reforged,” guests will be able to build their own lightsabers from scraps that have been scavenged from the distant reaches of the galaxy’s outer rim and have made their way to Batuu. When brought together, they form something entirely new — yet forever bound to the mysteries of the past.

New Savi’s Workshop Lightsaber Offering and More

Each guest’s story begins the moment they meet one of Savi’s Gatherers outside his workshop, where they will choose one available hilt theme for their experience. While “Reclaimed and Reforged” is only available for a limited time, guests can still choose from four other themes year-round inside Savi’s Workshop:

  • Peace and Justice
  • Power and Control
  • Elemental Nature
  • Protection and Defense

Next, guests will enter the workshop and begin to assemble their hilt, where parts will be provided based on their theme and identifiable cloisonné pin. Above, guests can see a few parts available from “Reclaimed and Reforged”, where each box of parts includes:

  • 1 hilt
  • 4 sleeves (pick 2)
  • 2 emitters (pick 1)
  • 2 pommel caps (pick 1)
  • 2 sets of activation plates and switches (pick 1 set)
New Savi’s Workshop Lightsaber Offering and More

Once the hilt is completed and any unused parts are returned to Savi’s inventory, it will finally be time to connect the hilt to a lightsaber blade!

Whether the chosen kyber crystal makes your blade ignite red, blue, green or violet is up to you – will you follow the ways of the Jedi, or harness the dark side of the Force like the Sith?

Ready to transform these scattered and reclaimed parts into elegant tools that symbolize the balance of the Force? Purchase is required and advanced reservations are highly encouraged for this experience at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, and the experience area is limited to the builder and two guests, where at least one person in the party must be age 14 or older.

Explore Batuu and Show Off in Even More Star Wars Spirit

In the panel, Imagineers also discussed how interactive experiences expand beyond attractions inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, such as in the land’s merchandise and food and beverage. Check out this life-size MSE droid that guests can remote control, or even the classic refreshment orbs with Aurebesh writing that can be purchased throughout the land on both coasts.

Every creative decision is made with care in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to ensure an immersive experience for all guests, whether guests are constructing their very own droid inside Droid Depot or shopping for a rotating collection of mysterious galactic artifacts inside Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities.

New Savi’s Workshop Lightsaber Offering and More

Plus, our panel moderator, Ashley Eckstein (the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels), has brought some of her influence from the Star Wars galaxy to Disney Experiences! Items from Her Universe, the groundbreaking fangirl fashion company featuring dresses, tees, jackets and more, are now available at Disneyland Resort and coming soon to Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Store.

Fly the New “Mandalorian” Adventure on the Millennium Falcon Next May

Starting May 22, 2026, at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, a new and interactive adventure is also coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run that will allow guests to control the iconic ship like never before.

For the first time ever, the crew will be in control of their own story alongside Din Djarin and Grogu, leading to potential adventures on Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor or the just-announced bustling city-planet, Coruscant.

There are many marketplaces and participating dining locations peppered around the park, each serving a unique selection of food and beverages.

The menu and selection of Sip and Savor Pass-eligible items rotates by festival and by year. Examples of featured items have included:

  • Quesabirria egg roll from the 2025 Lunar New Year celebration
  • Lemon pepper wings available during the 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival
  • Musubi fried rice available during the 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival
  • Pork belly adobo from the 2024 Disney Festival of Holidays

To see which locations accept the Sip and Savor Pass and the latest list of which menu items are eligible to be redeemed with one, you can check the Disney Eats Foodie Guide to the festival on the Disney Parks Blog, visit Disneyland.com or search “Sip and Savor Pass” on the Disneyland app.**

Sip and Savor offerings at participating dining locations are tasting-size portions only, not full entrées.

Redeeming your digital coupons on your Sip and Savor Pass is easy! When ordering, let a cast member at the location scan your Sip and Savor Pass. Then, enter the four-digit code shown on your pass at checkout. The cast member will also be able to tell you how many coupons you have left.

Benefits and Value of a Sip and Savor Pass

Shareable: If you plan to indulge in the gastronomic goodness with a group, a Sip and Savor Pass can be shared between friends and family for a hassle-free tasting experience.

Valid for the entirety of the festival of that year: A Sip and Savor Pass can be used over multiple visits to the festival it was purchased during – a helpful benefit for those on multi-day vacations, Magic Key holders or locals who plan to come back another day. A Sip and Savor Pass expires at the end of the specified festival of that year.

Save time with convenient ordering: Sip and Savor Passes come attached to a lanyard you can wear, making them easily accessible throughout your epicurean adventure. You’ll save time by not having to worry about sifting through your bag or wallet when ordering!

Ordering ahead saves even more time by allowing you to wait in one line to order from select marketplaces.*** You can purchase available marketplace food and beverage items at any one marketplace. Then, pick up your order from the respective marketplace locations by presenting your receipt at each location’s pick-up window. An order-ahead purchase must be picked up on the same day of the purchase. On the day of your visit, you can ask a cast member for more details.

For example, if you’re craving two items from one marketplace and two from another, you can order all four items at one marketplace and collect them at each marketplace’s respective pick-up window.

Save money when sampling multiple items: The listed prices for festival food and beverages can vary by item. You can maximize the value from your Sip and Savor Pass by using your digital coupons to redeem eligible, higher-priced items.

Magic Key holders can also save on the purchase of select Sip and Savor Pass options with a special discount and lanyard.

Mark your calendars: The 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival presented by CORKCICLE takes place at Walt Disney World Aug. 29 through Nov. 23!

As many of you know, there’s always something to celebrate in the neighborhoods of EPCOT, from nature and discovery to culture and cuisine. And while the park has so much to offer every day, here are a few things you won’t want to miss at this year’s festival.

Global Marketplaces

Of course, it wouldn’t be the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival without the FOOD! Foodie fans can look forward to so many mouthwatering returning favorites.

Once again you can indulge in Belgian Waffles with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream or Warm Chocolate Ganache at the Belgium Global Marketplace.

Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce

In Germany, say “guten tag” to Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce, while just over the mountain, The Alps will feature Dark Chocolate Fondue with Berries, Pound Cake, and Meringues.

Passionfruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts

Looking for tropical flavors that will whisk you away to paradise? Passionfruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts will breeze back in the Hawai’i Marketplace!

Say Roquefort! (Or Gruyere or Gouda if you prefer.) That’s right – Emile’s Fromage Montage also returns in 2024. This fun food stroll encourages guests to sample a variety of delicious cheeses served in inventive ways. Purchase any five cheese dishes from the official Global Marketplaces list in your Festival Passport and make sure to collect a stamp for each dish purchased. Once you’ve collected all five stamps, bring the passport to the specified location for a specialty unique item to enjoy!

That’s just an amuse bouche to excite you for all the delectable flavors that are to come. Stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog and the Foodie Guide for all the details as we share them!

Crave-able Merch

You might notice in the photo above that we’re giving you a sneak peek at some of what you can look forward to during this year’s festival.

Take home a taste of the fun with magnificent merchandise that keeps the magic alive between visits, featuring beloved friends, like Remy from “Ratatouille” and Mickey Mouse.

And here’s a fun reveal: Everyone’s favorite purple dragon, Figment, will also be cooking up some fun this fall just in time for the festival. Want to see more? Here are a few more things we have up our chef coat sleeve, including fun drinkware from CORKCICLE.
