As Disney continues to gear up for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of the 50th Anniversary at Walt Disney World Resort, we are celebrating all of the things that make Walt Disney World special. And what’s more wonderful than the food at Walt Disney World?!
This fall, you’ll be able to join in on the merriment of the 50th Anniversary from your own home with the cookbook “Delicious Disney: Recipes & Stories from the Most Magical Place on Earth.” The cookbook, written by Pam Brandon, Marcy Carriker Smothers, and The Disney Chefs, will allow you to create culinary delights from Walt Disney World past and present right in your own kitchen!
Today you’re getting a sneak peek at one of those recipes from an old favorite restaurant, Cap’n Jack’s Restaurant, which offered amazing seafood and beautiful waterfront dining at Disney Springs until 2013.
No meal at Cap’n Jack’s would’ve been complete without sampling from the oyster bar, particularly his signature dish – Cap’n Jack’s Clam Dip. “Delicious Disney” went into his captain’s log and shared the delicious recipe with us. Enjoy!
CAP’N JACK’S CLAM DIP
Cap’n Jack’s Restaurant – Disney Springs (Permanently Closed)
Makes 2 Cups
1 cup canned minced clams, drained
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup sour cream
4 Greek pepperoncini, finely minced
2 teaspoons fish bouillon
1 tablespoon chopped chives, more for garnish
1 teaspoon seasoning salt, more to taste
2 dashes favorite hot sauce
Crackers, for serving
1. Mix together all ingredients in a medium bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
2. Serve chilled with crackers.

When the newly expanded France pavilion at EPCOT debuts on October 1, helping kick off “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll be immersed in some of France’s signature sights, sounds, smells, and – of course! – tastes. One of the most delicious offerings, La Crêperie de Paris, is a traditional crêperie with a menu inspired by the Brittany region of France. The table- and quick-service restaurant, where everything is made from scratch and to order, will serve savory galettes and sweet dessert crêpes, along with some of Brittany’s famous hard ciders. Read on to learn all about the menu!
Like all galettes and crêpes from Brittany, La Crêperie de Paris will serve them very thin. The galettes will be cooked at a high temperature, allowing the outside to become crispy and crunchy, surrounding an irresistible array of fillings. The gluten-friendly savory galettes will be made with buckwheat imported exclusively from France and will feature classic fillings with some unique twists. Perhaps the best-known combination – and perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner – is the Classique that includes ham, eggs, and Swiss cheese. Perfect for any vegetarian diner and inspired by the “Little Chef” himself, The Ratatouille is filled with tomato, zucchini, and eggplant.
The sweet crêpes are also thin, crispy, and made from scratch. From the traditional Gourmande, filled with house-made hazelnut chocolate spread, to the Pomme, filled with caramelized apples and caramel beurre salé, the dessert crêpes are guaranteed to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. You can even top these decadent delights with house-made ice cream!
To round out the authentic French experience, La Crêperie de Paris will serve traditional Brittany hard ciders that pair perfectly with both savory galettes and sweet crêpes. From the sweet doux to the less sweet brut and demi sec, the hard ciders are imported from France and made only with apples that Brittany is known for.
The restaurant will also offer a daily prix fixe menu that includes a choice of soup or a salad, one savory galette, one dessert crêpe, and a glass of hard cider, soda or juice. The full menu of savory and sweet crêpes features:
For diners looking for a quick-service option, check out Crêpes À Emporter at La Crêperie de Paris. The walk-up window attached to the restaurant will serve three savory galettes, four sweet crêpes, soft serve ice cream, and an assortment of ciders and wines.

You’ll be excited to try all the sweet and savory crêpes at La Crêperie de Paris and enjoy the delicious options inside the restaurant, where the décor – from the stone walls to the blue-glass windows – pay homage to Brittany (with a few Parisian twists!). Even the staff costumes are inspired by traditional crêperies, including the striped shirts and the red hat, known as a miki, traditional to Brittany’s fishermen.
For now, reservations won’t be needed to enjoy this amazing taste of France in the newly expanded France pavilion, opening on October 1, with table service dining available on a first-come, first-served basis. Boma – Flavors of Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge opens today with all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast and dinner. Once again, the cooking stations will be brimming with your favorites for breakfast – creamy pap, turkey bobotie, pancakes, waffles, deviled eggs with salmon, and delicious freshly baked items from the Boma bakery.
At dinner, the rotisserie area will offer pork ribs, salmon, African-spiced strip loin, Durban rotisserie chicken, and lamb bobotie. The kid’s station will have pasta and meatballs, mac n’ cheese, and chicken bites. The rotating selection of soups, stews, and chowders are back, as well as tasty salads like berbere chickpea salad and North African cauliflower salad. And yes, Zebra Domes are back!
Beginning Aug. 29, Biergarten Restaurant in the German pavilion at EPCOT will offer a buffet experience for lunch and dinner. Enjoy your favorite German dishes – pretzel rolls, bratwurst, spätzle, schnitzel, and a variety of desserts, including apple strudel and black forest rolls. Prost!
Inspired by Victorian greenhouses of the late 1800s, The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park is such an enchanting spot to dine. We are happy to announce starting Sept. 12, their buffet will open for lunch and dinner where you can feast on Parker House rolls, create-your-own fresh garden salad, seared pork tenderloin, fire-roasted prime rib, braised beef short ribs, and more.
Enjoy Cantonese, Mongolian, Szechuan, Hunan, and Kiangche-style specialties at Nine Dragons Restaurant in the China pavilion at EPCOT. Now open for dinner (Tuesday-Saturday), start with Sichuan Chicken Dumplings, Crispy Duck Bao Buns, or the House Hot & Sour Soup. Are you ready for an out-of-this-world dining experience at EPCOT? Then prepare for liftoff, because Space 220 restaurant at EPCOT is scheduled to begin service in mid-September… another milestone in the transformation of EPCOT underway at Walt Disney World Resort.
The Space 220 restaurant is located adjacent to the Mission: SPACE attraction, and takes fine dining to a whole new level. Your immersive experience begins as you check in to the Space 220 Departure Lounge in Future World. From here, you’ll board one of two “Space Elevators” that will transport you in what seems like 220 miles above Earth to Centauri Space Station. As you begin your ascent, you’ll look down through a viewport to see EPCOT shrink away; looking up you’ll see the Space Station come into view.
Once you’ve docked, you’ll head through the Centauri Space Station-themed dining area. Inside the dining area, you’ll experience a panoramic view of Earth below, and a variety of work and leisure activities taking place beyond the windows of the Space Station-themed restaurant.
And the views are just part of the experience. Our Disney Imagineers are excited to have created this experience for Executive Chef Marc Kusche to showcase his culinary wonders. The Space 220 restaurant menu will feature stellar dishes and gourmet recipes, with a two-course prix fixe menu for lunch, and a three-course prix fixe menu for dinner. The upscale, contemporary fare will bring new meaning to “the height of dining!” Rounding out the meal will be unique beverages – from fine wine to atmospheric cocktails and more.
EPCOT is defined by original stories that inspire. The Space 220 restaurant is another big milestone in the ongoing and historic transformation happening now at EPCOT, and will be a part of the celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary.
Get ready to make your experience during Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure park extra special with the addition of a dining or dessert package. The ghost hosts of this not-so-scary spectacular are inviting you to join in the festivities with a supernaturally scrumptious meal or dreadfully delightful dessert buffet, followed by reserved viewing for the Frightfully Fun Parade!

Sonoma Terrace Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party is available twice per night, beginning at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. during party nights. And another frightfully fun favorite is materializing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the return of Minnie’s Halloween Dine – beginning Aug. 10 until Nov. 3. A monster of a feast will be served to your table at Hollywood & Vine with Disney characters and friends making special appearances in costumes for the season!

We are excited to announce Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose will again be delighting kids (and adults!) with everyone’s favorite Disney Princesses. We also have more fan-favorite restaurants reopening at the Disneyland Resort as well! Read on for the details.
All you explorers and adventurers will be thrilled to know Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar will start taking reservations for lunch AND dinner beginning Aug. 11, with the first reservation date Aug. 15. We all know it’s a real jungle out there, so be sure to book a reservation!
Carnation Café at Disneyland park, opening Sept. 16, is all about classic comfort food! Start your morning with Mickey waffles, and for lunch (and dinner!), enjoy some of Walt’s favorite chili or Chicken fried Chicken. Maybe find a new favorite like the Parmesan-crusted Patty Melt or the new Short Rib with homemade Mac and Cheese. For me? I can’t wait for the Fried Pickles!
When you arrive at Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose, Disney Princesses will greet you on a private patio for an exclusive photo opportunity. Throughout the experience, little princesses and princes will enjoy fun Princess-themed activities and receive a special keepsake to remember their special morning!
The menu at this magical breakfast features delicious breakfast and luncheon offerings. Start with three-tier towers of appetizers, which may include chia and granola parfait with mango, kiwi, and coconut; ham and cheese sandwiches with cranberry cream cheese, and lobster salad crostini with a dinglehopper. (How cute is that?)
Kids can choose from house-made mac ‘n’ cheese, princess waffles, and barbecue beef sliders for the main course. A selection of savory options for adults includes scrambled eggs, turkey sausages, vegetables, and a selection of meats, such as applewood-smoked pork belly and braised short ribs.
Chocolate princess cake pops, petite raspberry tarts, seashell macarons, sorbet, and more are the perfect sweet ending to this enchanting experience.
The fantastic all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast and dinner buffets and serving stations at Goofy’s Kitchen will welcome guests back starting Aug. 18. Although Goofy and Friends will not be hosting at the reopening, they will be returning at a later day – stay tuned for more details.
Start your day with made-to-order omelets, Mickey-shaped waffles and pancakes, French toast, sausage, bacon, eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, pastries and fresh fruit, and fresh vegetables. And don’t forget to try Goofy’s very own peanut butter and jelly pizza!
Dinner offerings include fresh fish, seasonal vegetables, tossed salads, mac & cheese, and pizzas, as well as an onstage meat carving station. And a trip to the decadent dessert buffet is a must at Goofy’s Kitchen!

Now, if you need one more treat to drench your Aulani Resort summer memories in, then definitely try a Mickey Shave Ice – Aulani Resort’s unique take on a refreshing local dessert with flavors like mango, pineapple, coconut, lilikoi, orange and guava.
