Mark your calendars now for a spring fling at the Downtown Disney District, open seven days a week at the Disneyland Resort. You’ll be just in time for the return of Eggstravaganza, an egg-themed scavenger hunt taking place March 15 to April 18, 2021, while supplies last.
Eggstravaganza fans know how much fun this event can be for the whole family, and this year it’s only at Downtown Disney District.
Pick up your game board and stickers for $7.99* (plus tax) at select merchandise locations, including the newly reopened WonderGround Gallery. Then let the hunt begin! Search for special hidden “eggs” themed to Disney characters. Record your discoveries by placing the corresponding sticker on the themed Eggstravaganza game board.
Whether you choose to hunt for eggs or not, return your game board to World of Disney or Disney’s Pin Traders to collect a special surprise – one of six collectible eggs!*
Hop on over to Downtown Disney District for Eggstravaganza and more shopping, dining and snacking fun this spring!
Spring snacks: National Snack Day is in March, but snacking is fun year-round at Downtown Disney District. Here’s a sample of the tempting treats: Jamba’s Electric Berry Lemonade Smoothie, the Dill Pickle Corn Dog with a side of peanut butter at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, and a scoop from Salt & Straw, where picking out a unique, new flavor is part of the fun!
Any day is a good day to stop by Marceline’s Confectionery window and watch candy makers create specialty candy apples. Pick a Minnie design in bright Spring colors, or go for the adorable yellow baby chick (one of our favorites!)
Spring menu: Check out the spring menu at Naples Ristorante e Bar! And you might want to plan your visit for March 20 – National Ravioli Day!
Easter basket goodies: Pandora Jewelry’s new collection features Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. Don’t be late in finding some of your favorite characters including Alice, the Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter. Visit the Pandora Store and find out more about the upcoming Buy 2, Get 1 Free event starting March 18! You won’t want to miss it!
Raya-themed art installation: Have you seen Disney’s “Raya and the Last Dragon”? Celebrate Raya’s amazing story by checking out the new artwork in Downtown Disney District created by Xiao Qing Chen, a Walt Disney Imagineering concept designer. And take home your very own Raya doll or Sisu plush, now available at World of Disney and Elias and Co. See “Raya and the Last Dragon” in theaters or order it on Disney+ with Premier Access.
Easter brunch: Making your plans for April 4? Easter Brunch is on at Uva Bar & Café and Tortilla Jo’s, with “egg-stra” special Easter Brunch menus. Check out Disneyland.com/DTD for the latest details.

Everyone’s favorite “Little Chef” is cooking up something really big for Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary, because the grand opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT is set for Oct. 1 of this year!
That date may sound familiar, as it will also mark exactly 50 years since Walt Disney World officially opened for the first time. So Chef Remy will help us kick off “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in Parisian style.
In this delicious new attraction, guests will feel like they’ve shrunk to the size of Chef Remy as they scurry through Gusteau’s famous restaurant on a wild adventure for the whole family (no height requirement!). Based on Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award®-winning “Ratatouille,” the experience will be part of a newly expanded France pavilion inside EPCOT that will also open Oct. 1.
When rounding the corner into this new portion of the pavilion, guests will be transported into a fanciful version of Paris that feels straight out of the animated film. As you can see in this beautiful nighttime photo we’re sharing today, it’s easy to understand why little Remy fell so head-over-heels in love with the “city of lights.”
And oh wait … there’s more! Also opening Oct. 1 will be La Crêperie de Paris, a new restaurant offering both table- and quick-service options. The menu will feature sweet crepes, savory buckwheat galettes (naturally gluten friendly) and authentic French hard cider. The attraction, restaurant and pavilion expansion are all part of the historic transformation of EPCOT currently underway, celebrating how the impossible becomes possible through the power of imagination … and a little Disney magic. This amazing time in the park’s history has already brought us a reimagined main entrance with new entrance fountain, “The Soul of Jazz” exhibit and new films in three different pavilions, with much more on the way.
We’re looking forward to Remy joining us for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” an 18-month event that will feature new experiences at the four Walt Disney World theme parks and beyond, where shimmering EARidescent décor will appear as if by magic.

Spring is in the air at Walt Disney World Resort today as the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival blooms now through July 5, 2021. This event spreads its butterfly wings across the entire park, offering fun for the whole family inspired by the season.
We were out in the park today to capture some images of the festival’s opening day, which you can see here. And there’s all sorts of springtime activities for Guests to explore when they visit:
Check out nearly 100 individual topiaries all around the park, many featuring Disney characters.
Take leisurely walks through 20 different garden areas, like the English Tea Garden Presented by Twinings of London in the United Kingdom pavilion.
Indulge in fresh bites and sips from more than 20 locations, including Outdoor Kitchens around World Showcase.
Take in live music as it fills the air at America Gardens Theatre, the Mill Stage at the Canada pavilion and inside World Showplace.
Search for Spike the Bee on Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration scavenger hunt.
And bring the festival home with special merchandise featuring Minnie Mouse, Figment, Spike and that lovable Orange Bird.
This is just a snapshot of what Guests can find at the festival. For complete details – including menus, live music schedules, etc. – Guests can check out FreshEPCOT.com and follow #FreshEPCOT on social media platforms.
Anyone stopping by the park today also may have noticed a new look for the main entrance plaza, where flags of six original EPCOT icons were raised for the first time and now flank Spaceship Earth. These flags, along with new lighting and music debuting today in the plaza, are the latest moments in the ongoing transformation of EPCOT, as the park continues to inspire us to see the real world in more fantastic ways.

Beginning Oct. 1, Walt Disney World Resort will throw “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of their 50th anniversary, bringing new experiences to all four theme parks and beyond. This milestone is such a big deal, they’ve even coined a new word – “EARidescence” – to describe what Guests will see when they visit. Disney teams are creating all sorts of new decorations that will shimmer and sparkle all day and into the night.
As part of the celebration, Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park will add to its royal makeover from last year. The castle will feature golden bunting and a 50th anniversary crest as part of its festive new look.
The castle will add even more magic at night, joined by icons at each of the other three theme parks as they transform into Beacons of Magic, including pixie dust on Cinderella Castle, magical fireflies inhabiting the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and special new touches coming to life on the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
And at EPCOT, new lights will shine across the reflective panels of Spaceship Earth, connecting to one another and resembling stars in a nighttime sky. This permanent new lighting will continue beyond “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” as a defining feature of the park.
Guests will also want to keep an eye out for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, who will have sparkling new looks for the celebration. As hosts of the event, they’ll be dressed for the occasion in custom-made fashions of EARidescent fabric with gold highlights.
We’ll have more to share about our plans for this 18-month long “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in the future as we ramp up to the big day on Oct. 1!
Lunar New Year (also called Spring Festival) signals the coming of spring and the promise of hope and new beginnings. It is tradition to gather family and friends for Lo Hei (meaning “tossing up good fortune”) – a prosperity toss salad traditionally consisting of fresh fish, shredded vegetables, fried crackers, and plum sauce.
Each Lo Hei ingredient has a special significance for the upcoming year, such as good fortune, eternal youth, prosperity, or strong ties with family and friends. Served on a large plate or platter, everyone joins in to toss and mix the ingredients while saying hopeful well-wishes out loud to herald in good luck. The higher the toss, the more prosperity it is purported to bring in the year ahead.
There are many interpretations of Lo Hei. Our talented chefs at Hong Kong Disneyland shared their version with ramen noodles, smoky salmon, briny abalone, prawns, and shredded vegetables with delicious sesame and chili-soy sauces.
Check out the full recipe below, and we wish you a Happy Lunar New Year!
Lo Hei with Sesame and Chili-Soy Sauces from Hong Kong Disneyland Serves 4
LO HEI
1 medium (200 grams) seedless cucumber, julienne (1 1/4 cups)
3 large (220 grams) carrots, julienne (1 cup)
1 small (60 grams) Japanese turnip, julienne (2/3 cup)
1/4 cup (40 grams) thinly sliced seaweed of assorted colors
3/4 cup (175 milliliters) roasted bottled sesame salad dressing
1 cup (60 grams) small rice crackers
1/2 cup (40 grams) fried shallots
FOR LO HEI:
Wash julienned cucumber, carrot, turnip, and seaweed in cold water. Drain and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Bring large pot of water to boil. Add prawn and cook for 5 minutes, until they turn pink and curl. Remove with slotted spoon and place in cold water. Drain, then remove shells. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Bring large pot of water to boil. Add ramen noodles and cook 5 minutes, until soft. Drain and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Fold sliced smoked salmon into rings. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Rinse canned abalone in cold water. Drain and refrigerate until ready to serve.
FOR CHILI-SOY SAUCE:
Heat vegetable oil in small skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes, until hot. Add garlic paste and red chili pepper and sauté 5 minutes, until peppers are soft. Add soy sauce and remove from heat.
Cool to room temperature before serving.
TO SERVE:
Pour chili-soy sauce and roasted sesame dressing in separate small bowls.
Place shredded vegetables and noodles on the bottom of large plate. Top with prawn, smoked salmon, and abalone.
Sprinkle with rice crackers and fried shallots. Drizzle with chili-soy sauce and roasted sesame salad dressing and toss to mix.
